Throwing my heart away Chapter 16

Author's P.O.V

*1 month later*

Melody lives normally and goes to school.She goes to school for a career in counseling or something along those lines.She successfully rebuilt her house and goes to the main city often.As Melody walks out her front door to do some shopping a flyer hits her in the face.At  first she is confused and takes the flyer off of her face and it reads,"Village ball this Wednesday formal attire needed starts at 7pm*.Melody didn't own that type of outfit so she just shrugged it off.As she walked through town she saw that streamers and decorations were being put up all over town.As she thought more why she remembered today was Wednesday so that meant the ball was happening tonight.She quickly hurried with her groceries and put them away as soon as she got in to the house.She quickly got ready and wore a black shirt,dark gray pants,black shoes,and her cloak and mask.When she turned her head she saw that it was 6:57 so she quickly hurried to town.When she arrived she saw people talking and dancing the night away.She went over to the wall and just looked at everyone.She was about to leave then a hand caught her shoulder.She slowly turned to see Deadlox *He was reverted when Hero disappeared* smiling at her.

Melody's P.O.V

I saw Deadlox smiling at me and my heart jumped out of my chest.He held out his hand and asked me to dance so I slowly took his hand and we gracefully walked onto the dance floor.He grabbed my side and twirled me and dipped me.We danced and it felt like I was soaring in the sky from how light I was on my feet.The song ended and everyone clapped.I slowly got embarrassed from the attention and left.

*time skip*

It was night and I was walking home.As I passed the park I saw Deadlox with Lyra and they were chatting on a picnic blanket looking at the stars.I stopped and looked.Deadlox wrapped his arm around Lyra and moved his head closer to her.She looked at him and got closer then they kissed.I was in shock that he did that and he seemed to notice me and so I ran like wind.The world around me went fast among my sides and the wind flapped my hair back and waved in the wind.*The windy thing* I got home and slammed the door.I sank down to the floor and pulled my knees to my chest.How did I think a guy like him would like a nobody like me?I kept putting myself down and crying.I got up and went outside.Out there everyone including Dealox and Lyra were looking at me worriedly.I went to them but they got mischievous grins on their faces.All their eyes turned white and they moved forward.Bacca and Mitch held me down and everyone was attacking.Then all at once they stopped and got up.By this time I was a crying mess and got up.All at once they all yelled,"WAKE UP," and the world went black.
