[Real life]

Still January 18, 2017

First, Daveed and Jasmine walked out, and he whispered more nonsense to her. Lin and Pippa walked out next, Lin ugly crying while Pippa dabbed her tears quietly. They were followed by Leslie and Delaney, who were also dabbing tears away. Then Jonathan and Renée, who were smiling softly and hiding tears.

Oak strutted down the aisle and tossed flower petals, amusing everyone that'd seen Hamilton.

Malia was holding back tears as she passed all her friends and family, former Glee co-stars, her original and current Hamilcasts, and her mother and sisters.

"Who gives this woman away?" she heard the officiant ask. "Her stepfather, Andrew Alstor." her stepfather said, letting go of her hand. "And also Christopher Jackson." Chris added, also letting go.

She made eye contact with Anthony, who'd obviously been panicking in solitary. He gently took her hand in his, kissing it softly, provoking a loud sob from Lin.

The officiant smiled. "Welcome family and friends. We are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the marriage of Anthony Ramos Martinez and Malia Mathen. This is not the beginning of a new relationship but an acknowledgment of the next chapter in their lives together. Anthony and Malia have spent years getting to know each other, and we now bear witness to what their relationship has become. Today, they will affirm this bond formally and publicly."

Lin sobbed loudly again, making Malia giggle.

"Anthony and Malia will mark their transition as a couple not only by celebrating the love between themselves, but by also celebrating the love between all of us—including the love of their parents, siblings, extended family, and best friends. Without that love, today would be far less joyous." the officiant continued. "I believe that the happy couple have written their own vows."

Malia went first. "Anthony, I have been through tough times and bad relationships all my life. I was well on my way to giving up. But thanks to the crying man called Lin-Manuel over there, I became a standby in Hamilton and met you. You lifted my spirits so much more than I first thought you would and without you, I wouldn't be here about to cry. So allow me to promise to cherish you forever, to honor you in sickness and in health, in poverty, for richer or poorer, to be your wife until death do we part." she said, the first few tears falling.

Anthony wiped his eyes and ran a hand through his hair. "Okay. Let me try to talk properly." he said, collecting himself.

"Malia. You are my rock. You walked into the room with Daveed and I instantly fell for you. I wanted to get to know you, be there to make you smile. I proposed to you and told you that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. I want a family, and I want to be in my seventies and wake up to you still sleeping beside me like we do now.Now here I am, honored to know that in a few minutes you'll be my Mrs. Martinez. As one of our favorite songs said, 'You're my daytime, my nighttime, my world. You are my life.'"

Malia buried her face in her hands and blinked back more stubborn tears.

"Do you Anthony take Malia to be your lawfully wedded wife? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and not so good times, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto her for as long as you both shall live?" the officiant asked Anthony.

"I do." he replied.

"And do you Malia take Anthony to be your lawfully wedded husband? To have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and not so good times, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto him for as long as you both shall live?" the officiant asked Malia next.

Lin nudged Pippa, who played the instrumental of Helpless.

"I do, I do, I do, I dooo..." Malia sang teasingly, provoking the entire original Broadway cast of Hamilton to at least sniffle.

DJ, Daveed and Maddie's nearly four year old son stepped forward, nudged by his mother with the rings.

"Anthony, place the ring on Malia's finger and repeat after me: 'Malia, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love with the pledge: to love you today, tomorrow, always, and forever.'"

Anthony repeated perfectly, ending his sentence with, "With this ring, I thee wed."

"And now," the officiant went on, "Malia, place the ring on Anthony's finger and repeat after me: 'Anthony, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love with the pledge: to love you today, tomorrow, always, and forever.'"

Malia repeated his words, slipping the ring on Anthony's finger. "With this ring, I thee wed." she said, causing Jasmine to cry loudly, clapping softly already as she smiled at them.

"Before these witnesses, you have pledged to be joined in marriage. You have now sealed this pledge with your wedding rings. By the authority vested in me by the great State of New York, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the-" he was caught off by Malia pulling Anthony into a gentle but passionate kiss. "Um, groom?" the officiant said, and everyone cheered and clapped.

Wedding certificates were signed before witnesses and Malia and Anthony embraced. "My wife. Mine mine mine." Anthony said as they headed to the reception. Malia giggled, smiling at his clinginess.

Jasmine approached them. "Leslie has your bags in the trunk of the car. I can't believe we're really here." she told them, crying softly.

"Ant, go to the reception. I'll be there in a few." Malia nudged him forward. Anthony, oblivious, kissed her cheek and walked off, joining his friends, who started singing "The Story of Tonight (reprise)."

Jasmine was confused when Malia started sobbing, pulling her into a hug. "Thank you for letting me have this relationship." Malia said, and suddenly it clicked in Jasmine's mind that Malia knew all along. She hugged back, smiling at the younger girl. "Of course." she said.

The two of them walked to the reception hand in hand.

(A/N: 1. Am I the only one that's deadass crying. 2. Yes, I made Jazzy become Angelica Schuyler. Please don't be mad.)
