Blue remained the only color I was able to see when it first happened. "Holy shit! Jax!!" She took her phone and aimed it so I could see my reflection. Only for me to realize that I was the monster my father made. "You did it. You changed into the new ghost rider; This is amazing!" In seconds of her rejoicing, I went back to my human self.
Disturbed by the sight of it, I ran out the tunnel. Never in my seventeen years of living have I ever thought I would see myself as a replica of that man. He was a monster. I kept running despite her calls for me. Soon enough, with all my pain and sadness. I transformed again, and so did the bike that drove along the side of me. Holy shit! It was my motorcycle! My motorcycle can alternate, just like me! Soon as I knew it, I was on the back of my bike with the wind in my firey hair. Back at the tunnel, Jade just finished covering our tracks. "Fuck! Jax, why must you be a pain in my ass?" Taking out her phone, she calls someone and says, "Hey. We're in trouble, protocol Jax." Little did I know she was calling my mom.
Once I calmed down and felt the world lifting off my shoulders, I stopped at a tree. Looking around, I saw a carving of what seems like love. "J&R Forever." "Your father wrote that back when we were young." I nearly tackled her as I hugged her as my life depended on it. "Mom!" Making sure not to leave a single detail out, I explained everything.' Jax, you need to listen to Jade. I was the one who sent her to save you. After I gave birth to the most important miracle of my life, an angel visited me. She told me that I needed to protect you no matter what. Jax, you are no mere ghost rider. You have a role in life to keep everyone from a fatal demise.'' With those words, and just like the first time we met, her hand appeared. "What do you say, Jax. Wanna help this angel kick your dad's ass and save the world?" I nodded in agreement. "We have until the end of summer to defeat Satan, Hades, and their minions. Due to Reasonings, uncle Hades has teamed up with Satan and became one to overthrow the ghost rider's will of reasoning. While doing so, It left uncle Hades to be weak. The first thing we do is train; next, we capture Hades.
After making the game plan, mom started planning dates. Jade and I started training day in and day out. The first few days were tough. Six a.m - woke up to cold water poured on me followed by a pre mile run. Then it was warm-up, Jumping jacks, push ups, crunches, shadow fighting, ten-mile run, yoga, and a shit ton of meditating. On July Fourth, we rested for the first time, and it was different. Mom laid at the tree as we set off to get to the town. Jade and I split off for a few hours but agreed to meet back up. I was nervous, standing at the entry of the carnival. It was the same carnival my granddad died. Maybe it was time for me to turn this dramatic sight into something beautiful.
Finally swallowing my fear, I made it to the Ferris wheel where she was waiting. Her dress is royal blue with a flower-like pattern. Her hair braided to the right and full of tight curls. I could see all the scars on her face, neck, shoulders, and back. Her eyes locked with mine, deep ocean blue, with neutral tone makeup that makes her eyes and her smile pop. It was a moment I would never forget. I opened my mouth to compliment her and I said, "Wow, you don't look like a guy for once." What the fuck is wrong with me!? YoU doNt LoOk LIkE a gUY!! Dude can you be any more lame. OH MY GOD!!! I am never gonna live this down. I should of killed myself right then any there. Yet, even in the midst of my mental breakdown, her voice made me calm. "Well thanks for not looking so poor." She giggled, "Come on before we have to wait in line." She hands the man two tickets and then we took our sets. First time we went around and I couldn't say anything. By the third time a round she broke in laughter, "I can't blieve your still up tight and shy still. In the last few weeks, I heard every bath story, bedtime accidents, and classroom cry baby story about you." A deep and low chuckle slipped out as I realized she was right. "Im sorry Jade. I was just so... You're just so gorgeous."
The night went perfect, a little too perfect. We played all the games. I won her so many stuffed animals and a fish that I had to place in my moms car before we rode the ferris wheel again. After I was more relaxed we were closer than ever. We cuddled with her head on my shoulder and my hand brushing through her hair. Just like in every romance movie there is, when we stopped at the top of the ferris wheel we shared true love's kiss. It was pure magic and literal fireworks. We drove back to our safe housing singing all of our favorite love songs.
"And who I am now
Is who I wanted to be
And now that we're together
I'm stronger than ever, I'm happy and free
Oh, it's a beautiful thing
Don't think I can keep it all in (oh oh)
And if you ask me why I've changed
All I gotta do is say your sweet name
It's your love"The music fades out and with a sigh that sounded like a cry for help she nearly whimpered, "Thank you for tonight, but this ends here."
