She made sure to close off the entry to the escape route using the cement; that she left there. Halfway through, I decided to cut the heavy feeling she was bearing. "Look, you don't have to feel bad for me, ok? I know my life could have been better with my dad there, but he never wanted a family. It was just his mistake that my mother decided to keep." Without a second thought, she hugged me and broke down. What should I do? Was there anything I could say to get her to calm down?? I am completely useless; I never had to deal with this kind of issue before.

With a loud sigh, she slid to the ground on her knees with her hands hiding her face. "My." swallowing her words, she paused, trying to find where the best part was to tell her past. "As I told you, My mother is Eris, goddess of chaos, strife, and discord. My father is Zeus, the god of the sky, lightning, and thunder. They sent me to earth in order to cover up their crimes against all the gods. In the news, I was titled as their mistake child." I could hear the pain she kept trying to hide. "My mother found me a few years later, and life seemed good. She was there, I was happy for the first time in years. Then she disappeared, and Hades took me in. A few weeks went by and soon I wasn't enough for him. He threw me away too." Her eyes grew crimson red; as her hair burst into flames. "To think I was worth anyone one's time or even to be in anyone's family when no one wanted me."

Knowing the risk of burning alive, I did what she couldn't. Holding her made me feel better as a human being. More importantly, it made her know that I wanted her. Not to be with her, just to be her friend or someone she could vent to if needed. I think? I was so confused with my own emotions I didn't even realize how long I held on to her. "Uh...Jaxton, you can let me go now." She froze as she pushed away and laid her eyes on me.
