I had just heard one of the most saddest stories I have heard in my life. Just knowing that this little girl who is only 6 lives in an orphanage because her parents were shot at and that she only has her aunt alive but cant take care for her because she is in a mental hospital is something that is just sad to hear. I've always been very lighthearted by other's situations, and tried my best to help others as much as I could.

I know it was so sudden and spontaneous but I had an idea, it was going to be one of the best things that could happen to me or not.

" How would you like it if I.... adopted... you?" I took a deep breath as I played with my fingers.

"I mean I know it's a bit sudden, but i'm sure you'd love it" I smiled at her.

"I...would love it if you would adopt me! but, we have to talk to
Ms. Nancy about it" She half said/yelled.

"Ms. Nancy?"

She suddenly stopped, shoulders dropping as she said "She runs the orphanage, but she's not very nice.."

"Well I'll love to go, so why don't you show me where the orphanage is hmm" I said trying to lift up her spirit.

"Of course! Come on" She smiled brightly and grabbed my hand. Thoughts of adopting her and what my manager team would say, and oh god my fans and family... But I was certain this would be a good choice.

After a few minutes of walking we stood in front of a large building. Fully made of bricks and what seemed like many windows.

We walked up to the door of the orphanage, Lexi opening the big doors as I stood behind her unsure of what to do. As soon as we walked in I was met with what seemed like a huge walkway with many open archways that lead to the living room, kitchen and what ever else was there.

Along the walkway there were children running around. From 4 year olds to what looked like teens. Upon hearing the door opening they seemed to stop on their tracks and look our way as the bell attached to the doorway rang lightly signaling we entered.

"Hello.." I waved as I stood awkwardly.

Before I could comprehend what was happening everybody in the house is running towards me and asking for photos, autographs and for me to sing for them. Suddenly someone asked 'why are you here' but not in a rude way.

"Well everybody I am here to adopt Lexi here because I think she is a special and adorable little girl" I said while I picked Lexi up into my arms to show everyone.

Suddenly a lady came up to me who looks to be in her 40s.

"Why, she is just a brat, why would you want to adopt her, trust me you don't want to adopt her, all she ever do is complain about how we don't play with her, 'play with me', 'can anybody hear me at all?', blah blah blah!! and a question why would everybody want to take pictures with you and autographs is not like you are famous or anything" she said, with an angry-rude-and insulting voice.

I looked around and saw that everyone was wide eyed and mouth hung open while looking shocked, finally I looked at Lexi and saw tears in her eyes while she looked down to the ground, while being embraced by me.

I looked at who I guessed was Ms. Nancy and said "Well for your information you are wrong. For the past three hours that I've spent with her I've learned more about her than what you probably have since she's stayed here. It seems you don't particularly care about what goes on around here considering you let a little girl out alone on the streets with no one to watch her, which is illegal by the way. I've gathered that she isn't 'whiny' or 'bratty' as you say; she's an amazing child. You have no right to talk about someone in that way."
