The massive wooden doors swung open to reveal a large and grand hall, in the middle of the hall stood a tall, old stern-looking lady. She was looking at Hagrid and the group. Harry waved goodbye to the group and walked up to the Professor. He paused and exchanged a few words with her before walking further up the stairs. The professor walked down the stairs and towards the group.

'The group professor, and this is Annora Apollo.' Hagrid said nodding to her, 'This is Professor McGonagall.'

'Thank you, Hagrid. I'll take it from here.' Professor McGonagall said, her face softening ever so slightly as she looked at Annora.

'It's- it's nice to meet you, Professor McGonagall.' Annora said, trying to hide the lump that was forming in her throat. She was nervous now, very nervous. Professor McGonagall seemed to notice as she smiled and said,

'You'll be great, have faith.' It was a soft whisper that was only meant for Annora and Randolf, who stood next to her, looking nervous again. Annora smiled, both at the professor and Randolf, and he seemed reassured again, and smiled weakly back. Professor McGonagall called for everyone's attention and asked them to follow her up the large marble stairs in the middle of the hall. Annora followed closely behind, and the first-years followed slightly further back. She looked up at the grand chandelier shining in the middle of the top of the marble stairs. Professor McGonagall came to a stop just out of sight of two massive open oak doors, Annora suspected were the doors to the grand hall. Annora took a deep breath and focused on the words Professor McGonagall said,

'Welcome to Hogwarts, school of witchcraft and wizardry. Before you start, however, you will partake in what we call The Sorting Ceremony. You will be put into one of four houses, Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. These houses will become the places you stay and consist of the people whom you will spend a lot of time with over the years. There is no one better house each has its own rich history. You will begin classes tomorrow and will receive your school timetables then. Now, The Sorting will begin shortly. I suggest you all smarten up.' With that, she told us to stay put as she went to check the arrangements. Annora tightened her ponytail and brushed her cloak as she silently hoped she didn't trip over it when she was inside.

'I hope I'm not in Slytherin.' It was Randolf talking, and he seemed to be talking more to himself than anyone else.

'How comes?' Annora asked.

'Well, I'm Muggle-born. They won't like me.' Annora looked at the little boy's pale olive face, he really was scared. He was nervously trying to straighten his hair.

'I'm sure they will, and if they don't, I'll have a little word with them.' Annora smirked, and Randolf laughed. She was glad it had worked, but she wasn't necessarily joking. She wouldn't be able to stand someone being so disgusting towards someone so young, and sadly Annora thought it was extremely likely.

'Why are you here?' It was a little brunet girl who had asked the question whilst looking at Annora. Annora raised an eyebrow, the little girl's eyes were curious though she clearly was trying to be cool. Annora suspected it had something to do with the little, blond boy she was standing with.

'Waiting to be sorted.' She replied, and added a smile too. She didn't exactly want to be rude to a child that was just trying to act cool.

'But you're old.' She added and raised her eyebrow. 'Great I'm being annoyed by a child.' Annora thought to herself.

'I am, aren't I. Least I get to be in the same year as,' Annora looked at the blond boy this girl was trying to impress, 'Draco Malfoy.' Annora smiled and kept her eyes on the girl's face. It seemed to have the desired effect as the girl went red and looked lost for words. She was just about to give a retort when Randolf added,
