Chapter Ten

Taehyung's POV:

"Taehyung, I can't seem to track where that picture came from." Jiwoo told me. I looked down before she started speaking again. "We'll figure out who did it Taehyung." She assured me.

"I hope so but I don't know who would want me and Y/N separated." I said, looking back up at her.

"Maybe it's a jealous ex." Jiwoo said.

"I don't have an ex and neither does Y/N so who-" I said before stopping. "Wait it can't be him, he's been off the map for three years." I said.

"Who?" She asked, confused.

"Jeon Jungkook." I answered her.

"What did he do?" She asked, curious.

"He kidnapped her and did something else to her that I can't tell you and he also killed her best friend." I told her. She sat down on the chair in front of my desk.

"My god." She said. "And you think he might be after her again?" She asked.

"Yeah, that's the only explanation I can think of for the photoshopped photo." I said. "He might be trying to make her leave me and thinking that she would run to him but she doesn't even know where he is, nobody does." I added.

"What do we do?" She asked. I thought about what we could do.

"I don't know but if he sent her that photo even though I don't know how he got her number, he's most likely watching her every move." I said, reaching for my phone. I dialed her number and called her. After a couple rings, she answered.

"Hello." She answered.
"Hi baby." I replied.
"Hi."
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm okay why? What's going on?"
"I was just wondering now listen baby, please lock the doors and windows."
"Why?"
"Please just do it."
"Okay I will but are you going to tell me why because you're scaring me."
"I'll tell you when I get home."
"Okay, well have to go so I can cook dinner."
"Okay, I'll be home soon bye baby." I said.
"Bye Tae." She said, hanging up.

"How is she doing?" Jiwoo asked, concerned. I put my phone on my desk and looked at her.

"She's okay but I just know he's going to try something again and she doesn't need to go through that again." I said, leaning back into the back of my chair.

Y/N POV:

After getting off the phone with Taehyung, I was wondering why he wanted me to lock the doors and windows. I guess I'll just have to wait until he gets home. I walked into the kitchen to make dinner when I heard Da-eun running into the room.

"Mommy!" She said, running and hugged my legs.

"What's wrong sweetie?" I asked, concerned. I crouched down and looked her in the eyes.

"I saw someone outside my window." She told me. I widened my eyes before the front door started to make noise like someone was trying to get inside. It can't be Taehyung because he's not coming home until seven and it's only five. I grabbed Da-eun and we quickly went upstairs.

"Hide in here sweetie and don't come out no matter what you hear, okay?" I said, quietly. She nodded her head with tears falling from her eyes. I shut the closet door after grabbing something for defense. I pulled my phone out and texted Taehyung.

Y/N: Tae, did you come home early?
Tae: No I'm still at the office, why?
Y/N: Someone is trying to get in the house
Tae: Shit okay I'm on my way home, hide baby
Y/N: Please hurry Tae

I went in the closet with Da-eun doing what Taehyung told me to do. I heard the front door jiggle more before I heard it slam open. Da-eun wrapped her arms around me and squeezed. I was praying that whoever it was, won't come up here. I remembered I didn't lock the bedroom door.

"Sweetie, stay here I'm just going to lock the door." I said, opening the closet door slowly so it wouldn't make any noise to alert the intruder. I slowly made my way to the door and locked it then went back in the closet with Da-eun, closing the door behind me. I had my hand over Da-eun's mouth so she wouldn't make any noise. The intruder was making a lot of noise downstairs then I heard the stairs creaking, meaning whoever it was, is coming upstairs.

Just then I heard a car door shut outside and someone running into the house, hopefully Taehyung but I hope he'll be careful. The bedroom door started jiggling and the intruder was trying to get in. It stopped jiggling and we heard a thump outside the door. After a few minutes went by, I heard the door slam open and someone came in.

"Baby, are you in here?" I heard Taehyung ask. I opened the door and saw Taehyung looking around the room until his eyes landed on the closet and he saw me and Da-eun in the closet. He ran over to us and pulled us into a hug. "Thank god, your both okay." He said.

"What happened to the intruder?" I asked, curious.

"He pushed me against the wall and ran out of the house." He replied. "I was going to chase him but I wanted to check on you both and also he might've had something with him." He added. I was thankful that he got here just in time before the intruder was able to come into the room and end up finding me and Da-eun.

"I'm just glad you didn't get hurt Tae." I said, looking at him. We got out of the closet and went downstairs and saw things broken everywhere. I sighed, happy that me and Da-eun went upstairs. "I have to clean everything before I can make dinner so no one gets hurt." I said, walking into the kitchen and grabbed gloves to clean up the glass.

"I'll do it for you baby." Taehyung said.

"It's okay Tae I can do it, you can stay with Da-eun since she's still shook up from what happened." I said, smiling. He smiled at me before walking to Da-eun.
