Chapter 9

Symphonique's POV

How would you feel if after some months away from torture, you land right back in it?

Because I feel like imma bout to die right now.

After Daviano shot his brother I haven't come out this room.

Its been two days now. If Rain needed to eat I gave her breast milk. Most times she'd want to be outside and I'd let her get some fresh air but now....the window just has got to work.

I'm not coming out this room.

I've been fooled too many times to fall into that sort of trap again.
First there nice then there bad, is that how all men are?

"Sym, come on, talk to me please you been in there for days now", he says so desperately. No, don't fall for it Sym.

At this moment I was annoyed.

Every time he comes at the door. Rain hears his voice and starts crying her eyes out and this happens through out the day.

Now I'm here holding and rocking an unhappy baby in my arms.

" Leave me alone", I shouted back.

This is when she really gets into it.

At this moment she was having a fit.

"Baby Shhh please...he's a bad man, stop crying", I try to calm her but she was not having it.

After a while Daviano starts talking...

"Tell you what, if you come out and eat something and let me take care of Rain, i- I'll, I will let you go. Ill just give you some money, enough to buy an apartment, food and clothes, and you can find a job too".

Now this was tempting.

I can finally be free. Tears started to come to my eyes. He didn't sound like he was bluffing so of course, I took his word for it.
Like which girl in there right mind was gonna let down an offer like this.

At this moment the event that took place between him and his brother has fled my mind but the fear of his brother finding me was definitely not leaving.

I gently open the door and see him standing there looking like a super model, even with bags under his eyes and a messy hair. He looked really hot.

The minute Rain saw him she just jumped in his arms and starts babbling, probably trying to tell him, I'm a bad mom.

" I want to leave now ". I said while he was rocking Rain, who now began to sleep like she wasn't crying all along.

Real smooth Rain, real smooth.

" Then lets go".

" Leave me in the city", I told him and he game me a "are you sure",I immediately nod my head telling him yes.

He did as told and dropped me off in front a beautiful flower shop.

" Please be safe Sym and here", he stretched out his hand and gave me a black credit card.

" This is for all the shopping you'll be doing", he said with sadness in his eyes.

" Thank you, I'll pay you back, i promise", I told him with the brightest smile in the world. He wasn't so bad at all.

Like which man gives a girl a credit card full of money under her name? ......no one right!?

"No need to, good bye love", he said while stepping back into the car.

" Good bye Daviano", I whispered. It hurt me to seeing him driving away, he was the only man that was ever kind to me but this is the only way.

The only way I can be free from all these men.

"Okay Rain, its time to start this new found journey, together".
