Detention

Kerrie's POV
I made my way down to Hagrid's I approached his door and gave it a light knock as it opened to see Hagrid smiling "Well hello there Athena." He smiled I returned the smile replying "Hi Hagrid what do you have planned for me and Malfoy tonight?" "Oh right well ya see Buckbeak has managed to escape and I need to find him, but I also have to go have a chat with Dumbledore Buckbeak can't be far and I trust you and Malfoy know enough spells to keep you both safe." He smiled. I was wondering if I heard correctly he expects me to go into the forbidden forrest with someone who hates me, I mean I wouldn't put it past Malfoy to throw me to the wolves. Before I could protest the big oaf said "welp I should get going I'll see you in about an hour." He quickly left leaving me alone waiting for the stupid blonde. Moments later the door swung open "why would you walk down here alone do you have a death wish?" He said angrily. "Malfoy I can clearly fend for myself chill out god I didn't realize your my body guard." I scoffed. Before he could speak I told him about what we needed to do, his face turned white which amused me very much so. "Oooh is Mr Malfoy here scared of the dark." I taunted "in your dreams Athena." He shot back. "Right well you lead the way then." I smirked "oh no come on now ladies first I am a gentleman after all." He smiled. What a puss really making the girl go out first what is he 12? "So where do you think the bloody bird is." He said "who knows if it was me I'd be flying I mean he is a bird after all Malfoy." I said while my teeth began to chatter from the cold air. "You idiot did you not think to bring a coat." He spat, "well no Malfoy I didn't expect us to go on a bloody bird hunt." I shrugged. I suddenly felt a warm coat drape over my body, Malfoy being nice no way. "Malfoy it's fine I was the one who was stupid enough to not bring a coat no reason to make yourself cold." I shyly smiled for the gesture. "There's no way I'm letting you walk around shivering I'm not that awful Athena." He said blankly. Before I could respond I heard a howl. "That fucking oaf how could he be stupid enough to send us out here on full moon." Draco whispered suddenly we both heard a crunch earning a gasp from my lips. "Go back to the hut NOW." Draco warned, I couldn't leave him alone yeah I hate him but not enough to let him sit and try to defend himself so I grabbed his arm and started running towards the hut. He caught on and started running on his own but stopped when he heard me let out a yelp, leave it to me to fall but I didn't notice the creature that cause me to. "Vipera Evanesca!" Draco casted a spell causing the snake to burst into flames, however I could see the werewolf approaching me quickly. "Accio nimbus 2001" Draco said quickly, before I knew it the werewolf was inches from me as I felt Draco grab the collar of my shirt and pulled me up to his broom flying us towards the castle. "Malfoy heights uhh aren't my thing." I spoke "oh so you rather me let that werewolf rip you apart huh." He said chuckling. "Well no but could you maybe go a little closer to the ground?" I pleaded. "Whatever princess." He said. I felt my cheeks glow red I know he didn't mean anything by it but I couldn't help but feel butterflies grow in my stomach. I could feel his abs throw his shirt from gripping onto him so tight I started to wonder what they look like how they fel-god Kerrie snap out of it do not fall into a trap. We made it to the castle Draco gently landed signaling for me to follow him which I obeyed. We made our way towards Dumbledore's I could tell Malfoy was fuming from Hagrid putting his precious life in danger. Dumbledore and Hagrid both were frantically walking down the hallway when we met eyes with them, "thank Merlin you two are okay we didn't realize it was a full moon." Dumbledore said. "Oh yeah thank Merlin your a little too late for that Kerrie nearly got ate alive." Draco spat, I couldn't help but smile realizing he said my first name. "Well what matters is your both okay." Dumbledore smiled. "You two are free to head back to your dorms." He said. Draco looked as if he wanted to say something but simply turned around heading back towards the dungeons I followed but he was moving far too fast for me. I watched the common room door fly open as Draco began walking towards his dorm but stopped whenever I quitely said "thank you Draco, really you saved me." I smiled. "I had to otherwise they would think I killed you." He stated coldy and left me there standing dumbfounded making me feel a slight sting in my heart. What did I expect Malfoy to do sit and save me and us live happily ever after? God I was so naive I should of known there was another reason for him saving me other than him just slightly caring. I made my way up to my dorm taking off my clothes putting on my pjs luckily Kendall was asleep so she wouldn't ask me questions. I was exhausted but knew I would be up all night day dreaming about how it felt to be holding Draco. Maybe he never had love maybe I could show him but I doubt it however I knew I didn't want to argue with him in fact I wanted to be friends somehow. It would be a challenge but it was a challenge I was ready to take on Draco doesn't deserve to be the miserable boy he is all the time I know deep down there had to be more parts to him. My day dreams suddenly turned into me dozing off to bed as my eyes struggled to stay open suddenly I was in a deep sleep.
