"IT' S A PLEASURE TO MEET BOTH OF YOU AGAIN! MARIA SAID, CHEERFULLY.

"THANKS." REPLIED NICHOLAS.

"SO WITHOUT WASTING TIME WE SHOULD BEGIN."

"BEGIN WHAT?"

"THE MEETING."

"OK."

WE SAT ON THE CUSHIONED SEATS. THIS TIME, NICHOLAS SAT ON THE CHAIR BESIDE ME AND MARIA SAT OPPOSITE TO ME.

NICHOLAS HELD MY HAND. I DIDN' T TRY TO MOVE MY HAND. I WELCOMED THE SOFTNESS OF HIS HAND OPEN - HEARTEDLY.

IT WASN' T EVERYDAY THAT HE WOULD HOLD MY HAND.

THE MEETING PROCEEDED WITHOUT ANY DISTURBANCES. MARIA BRIEFLY LOOKED AT ME AND NICHOLAS AS IF SHE KNEW THAT NICHOLAS WAS HOLDING MY HAND.

IT MADE SENSE. I DIDN' T USE MY RIGHT HAND WHEREAS HE DIDN' T USE HIS LEFT HAND SINCE THE MEETING HAD BEGUN.

"WHAT?" I ASKED.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?" SHE SAID.

"WHY ARE YOU STARING AT US? DO WE LOOK LIKE EATING BIRDS TO YOU?

"YOU DO NOT. BUT BOTH OF YOU DEFINITELY LOOK LIKE BIPOLAR LOVE - BIRDS."

NICHOLAS BLUSHED. HIS CHEEKS TURNED PINK.

HIS GRIP ON MY HAND BECAME FIRM. MARIA GIGGLED. SHE WAS ENJOYING THIS.

"OK. FINE. BACK TO THE MEETING." I SAID.

MARIA CONTINUED TELLING ABOUT THE PRODUCTS WHICH COULD BE IMPROVED. AFTER AN HOUR THE MEETING ENDED. I WAS RELEIVED. "FINALLY", I THOUGHT TO MYSELF, "I' LL GET SOME REST." NICHOLAS RELEASED MY HAND FROM HIS GRIP.

HE LEFT THE ROOM FOLLOWED BY ME. MARIA GAVE ME A WARM SMILE. IT WAS ALMOST DINNER - TIME. NICHOLAS OFFERED TO DRIVE THE CAR. THEREFORE, THE DRIVER TOOK A TAXI TO GO BACK TO THE HOTEL. NICHOLAS DROVE TOWARDS A RESTAURANT.

THE RESTAURANT WAS PEACEFUL BUT LOOKED QUITE EXPENSIVE. ONLY BILLIONAIRES LIKE HIM AND ME COULD EAT IN IT.

"I HOPE WE CAN AFFORD IT." I MUMBLED BUT NICHOLAS HEARD IT.

HE STARED AT ME. THEN HIS FACE TOOK AN EXPRESSION OF OBSTINACY.

"WHAT IS THERE THAT I CANNOT AFFORD? YOU KNOW I AM A BILLIONAIRE. I BROUGHT YOU HERE SO THAT I COULD IMPRESS YOU. BUT YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT THE AMOUNT. WHY DON' T YOU JUST LEAVE THAT TO ME?" HIS FACE WAS VISIBLY FURIOUS.

I LOOKED DOWN AND DECIDED TO BE QUIET. HE LOOKED AT ME. HE REALIZED HOW HIS WORDS SOUNDED.

"LINDA."

I LOOKED AT HIM.

"I' M SORRY. PLEASE DON' T IGNORE ME. YOU' RE THE ONLY ONE I HAVE.

I WAS TOUCHED BY HIS WORDS. WE BOTH ENTERED THE RESTAURANT, HAND IN HAND.
