Chapter 30 - Their FATE

"Get him"

They had no time to properly prepare, from when nightmare said those words, a large portion of the monsters surrounding them started rushing in their direction, with ink and dream instantly going to charge nightmare and his gang, and the others staying behind to defend their position, anyone else arriving joining to try to defend the area.

Ink wouldn't be able to keep fighting for too much longer, and dream was busy trying to fight off the rest of the gang that wasn't attacking Ink.

They didn't have the time to wonder why they would send an attack this large, not after all this time, not after there were dozens of other times that they would have had no chance of winning.

Nor did they have the time to wonder why the majority of the army was still waiting, or where the new members of the gang came from.

None of the people down there noticed when the sky above them became brighter.

Until the light being emitted from it became more visible, and the attackers knew exactly what, or who, that was.

"FatE..."
"HEH, PHASE TWO!"

Ink seemed to get slightly more curious at what phase two was, but he wasn't ready for when everyone started to attack the being that came from the sky, that didn't seem to care what it attacked or hurt.

He seemed to of noticed that he wasn't being paid attention to anymore, as he sat watching, as an army charged past him.

As the two armies collided, I sat and watched, curious as something like this had never occurred before

Even when FATE started drawing power from the rest of the omniverse they lived in, I only watched.

Looking back on it now, I should have intervened....

They didn't win....

I watched as the omniverse collapsed, caused by one beings belief that they were better and more important than the rest.

It was too late for me to help any of them...

I guess now I just have to continue with my job, and when the times comes, I won't make the same mistake.
