A Fight

"Put you quills down, everyone", sounded the Professor's voice through the classroom. Harrison let out a slight sigh. He felt like he didn't study enough for this test. But it wasn't only the test and studying that were on his mind. He had gotten into a fight with Dolan the other day and neither of them seemed to make the first step towards an apology or a solution. It nearly felt like they were back to the beginning of their acquaintance. They avoided being in the same rooms and if they were they pretended to not notice each others presence. It was childish and Harrison knew that. He just didn't know how to get out of this situation again without taking the blame for their argument. He let out another sigh.

"Come on. I bet you weren't that bad", Leo said, sitting next to him. Harrison looked away. "Wait, it's not the test, is it? This stupid Dolan thing-"

"It's not stupid", Harrison interrupted his friend.

"Yes, it is. And everybody knows. Just you two", Leo started drawing circles on his parchment. Harrison groaned and rested his head on his books.

"Yeah, I know. I just don't know."

"Bro, you're not making sense." Leo's reaction could work as a summary of Harrison's past few days, ever since the fight.

Dolan decided that the library would be the room where he could avoid Harrison. And not just his boyfriend but also his friends with their questions and their tries of getting them to talk again. He heard that Harrison was mostly outside so he avoided being outdoors as best as he could. That is to say it worked extremely well. The library was the place he found himself the day of Harrison's test. Some Professors announced tests so the library was filled with a humming of voices, all trying to be as quiet as possible. Dolan rolled his eyes at this, walking to the back of the library, trying to find a quiet space. There was one table with only one seat taken, the other person not present. As this was as good a seat could get Dolan got his stuff set up on the other side of the table, fixing his eyes on one of his essays. He barely looked up when he heard steps walking by. Just as someone let out a sigh and let a book fall on the table, he actually lifted his eyes up.

"I guess I should have known", he growled.

"And I guess we both don't want to talk to each other", Eliza answered, looking him dead in the eye.

"You're not wrong. So how about you just shut up?" Eliza just pulled a face at Dolan and sat down.

"Hey, mate, you coming to the Quidditch pit?", Leo asked as soon as he had stormed into their dormitory. Harrison had been laying on his bed thinking about nothing (okay that was a lie. He had been thinking about Dolan every now and then) and now bolted into an upright position.

"Oh, it's just you", Harrison sighed, laying back down. Leo chuckled: "Just me? What's that supposed to mean?" He went over to Harrison's bed.

"Uhh. Nothing. I'm sorry, I didn't mean it."

"C'mon. Sea and some others are waiting outside. And there's nothing like a little training to cheer up, right?", Leo tried. He didn't really know what had happened during the fight but he noticed how his best friend would drift off into his thoughts nearly every ten minutes, looking sad. It must have had to do with Dolan not being around as much, though Leo couldn't understand why the two of them insisted on not giving in and make up. Leo pushed that thought away and pulled slightly on Harrison's arm.

"Alright, alright", Harrison gave in, crawling out of his comfortable nest that he called his bed, "I'll change real quick and then I meet you."

Leo smiled: "I'll wait in the common room." The door closed behind him and Harrison let out yet another sigh. Stop that, he scolded himself, you're gonna go and have a lot of fun. Now, move it. Not even five minutes later, he met Leo in the common room, wearing his training outfit. Leo met him with a wide smile. He playfully threw an arm around Harrison's shoulder, leading him outside while talking about everything and nothing at the same time.

It was great to see everyone again outside of their shared classes and scheduled training sessions, Harrison had to admit. At the end of the training he was sweating and felt exhausted – in a good way. He had managed to push aside every thought about Dolan and their stupid fight. After they've all had a (much needed) shower, they met again in the common room. Most brought sweets with them. Wasting time away like that felt great and Harrison realized how much he had missed just hanging out with his friends, talking shit about classes, other students and everything else. Harrison relaxed in the armchair he had claimed for himself, his gaze drifting through to room towards a small group of younger Gryffindors. They seemed to be discussing their homework. "Well, why don't you just go and ask your sister then?", exclaimed one of the boys while another shook his head. He mumbled something Harrison couldn't quite make out. He smiled as his mind drifted back to him annoying Dolan when they met for studying. He missed his boyfriend, there was no denying it. Maybe, he thought, just maybe... I should go and talk to him? Does this stupid fight thing really matter so much that I'd risk losing him? He shook his head, finally making a decision. With new found enthusiasm he jumped out of the armchair.

"I'll just head to the library real quick", he told his friends. Leo smiled while Sea shouted: "Go get him tiger" as Harrison left the common room.

It took him mere minutes to reach the library, he took a deep breath before opening the doors and started strolling through the rows of bookshelves, all while looking for Dolan but at the same time trying to pretend he was searching for a book. He soon found him, buried in his notes, a familiar Ravenclaw sitting close by. Eliza was the first to acknowledge Harrison's presence. She took a glance at Dolan (who was paying no attention whatsoever to his surroundings), smirked and grabbed her stuff and bag. She bumped shoulders with Harrison as she left and Harrison would have sworn he heard her mumble a small "Good luck" as she left.

Noticing the sudden absence of his newfound study partner, Dolan raised his head only to be greeting by the sight of Harrison, fumbling with the hem of his shirt. Eliza was nowhere to be seen. Dolan scoffed and directed his glaze back to his notes.

"Hey", Harrison whispered, sitting down next to his boyfriend.

"Hey", Dolan whispered back.

"I'm sorry. About the fight and everything, you know?"

"Yeah. Me too actually. I've missed your annoying presence."

"Hey", Harrison slightly shoved his boyfriend, a small grin on his face, "but I've missed you too. I don't wanna loose you over something as stupid as this."

"Me neither. Honestly, I don't even remember what we fought about in the first place. I just didn't want to give in."

Harrison responded with a dry chuckle: "Same here. Pretty stupid if you think about it, huh?"

"Kinda fits you then", Dolan scooted closer.

"Seriously? I guess that's-" Harrison started only to be shut up by Dolan's lips being pressed on his. He practically melted into the kiss on the spot.

"But if we resolve all our fights like this, I don't mind them from time to time", Harrison whispered into Dolan's ear, just to start climbing onto his boyfriend's lap.

"Mhm. We should take this reconciliation elsewhere though."

"Gladly."

Finally finished this (it sat in my drafts for over six months). This will also be my last post for this book – for obvious reasons. Thank you all for bearing with me. Have a great day/night.
