Lily's POV:

The hairs on my arms stand up as I make my way through the mist back towards the castle, my breath visible in the freezing air and I wrap my robes tighter around me.

Dragons, Its the first task.

My heartbeat increases dangerously as I overthink the situation. Truth being. I'm terrified. I couldn't be more. I begin to walk quicker, making my hair blow in all sorts of directions and my nose freezes in the cold.

Footsteps approach from behind me, heavy and clear, making me freeze in my tracks as I feel a cold hand on my shoulder making me jump and whipping my head around.

Draco.

I breath out a sigh of relief into the foggy air as I look at him.

"God... Draco what are you doing here!?" I whisper cautiously in his direction, my chest still filling and releasing.
"Hey hey calm down." He says in a hushed voice.

The trees rustle calmly in the wind as we both stand there, waiting for one another to say something.

Our faces inch closer once again, and he pulls my hips towards him wrapping me in and kissing me passionately, before pulling away gently, the tension slowly releasing. He clasps his hand into mind, the cold steel of his multiple rings pressed firmly against my skin.

However, he continues to lock his eyes with my mine, his eyes like an ocean, nothing more nothing less.

"Lily I wanted to ask you something..." he begins, lowering his hands.

"Mhm," I reply quietly, the bare feet turning numb at the cold.

"The yule ball... um, its kind of like a ball." I giggle and lower my head whilst I fold my arms onto one another.
"Yeah I got that." I continue to laugh softly.

"I was wondering if maybe... you wanted to go with me?" His hand is still grasping on mine, I can feel his palms slowly turning damp.

I smile and look at him.
"Yeah... sure." I giggle and he kisses me again.

"Now come on before we get bloody caught by filch!" I laugh as quietly as I possibly can and he pulls me by my hand into the castle, avoiding a close call by the whomping willow.

He continues to drag me through the lengthy corridors of the castle, towards the Gryfindoor... dorms, up toward the tower, through winding staircases... the open windows gushing my hair everywhere, and by the time we reach the top of the tower we are in hysterics, panting from the what felt like 10 minute sprint. I lean against the wall, crying from laughter and letting my legs sink.

He pulls me up not long after, and I turn around to head for my dorm, but he continues to cling onto my hand and instead of letting go he pulls me in and kisses me deeply, the moment lasting for approximately 10 seconds before he smirks and walks off, leaving me in a daze to return to my dorm, watching him walk off.

***

I am so going to regret doing this.

Come on Lily toughen up.

I manage to pull myself together, and boldly walk up to cedric and... people, avoiding multiple "Evan's stinks" badges.

Couldn't possibly imagine who's idea that was.

He looks blankly at me and sniggers at me, leaving his "gang" when I ask to speak to him in private.

"Look I know you and I aren't exactly on speaking terms right now but I also don't want you to die in this fucking tournament and I know what the first task is- dragons." I gabble quickly, wanting more than anything for this to my done as quickly as possible.
