Sherlock and John were sat in a taxi on their way to Scotland Yard. The car was filled with an uncomfortable silence. Well, for John anyway. Sherlock probably reviled in it. Though John still was curious about Penny, so he took this opportunity.
"John, please," Sherlock spoke before John could even get a word out. God he hated when he did that. "Not now."
"Yes Sherlock, we are going to do this now," John insisted, a wave of confidence coming over him. Sherlock sighed as he looked over at his companion. He knew he would have to tall john eventually.
"Fine, but you get one question," Sherlock rolled his eyes, looking back out the window. John felt like he achieved a small triumph as he thought about with of the many questions he wanted to ask.
"How did you two meet?" He asked. Sherlock looked over once again then down at his hands. He smiled slightly at the memory.
"We worked a case together. Back when I did some work for my brother but it really wasn't what I expected.

Sherlock shook out his curls as he walked down the silent halls towards Mycroft's office. Everything he was wearing was soaked through. It just so happened that today was the day the heavens would open the flood gates over the crowded streets of London.
As Sherlock made his way down more dull hallways, he glanced over his shoulder, eyeing the amount of small puddles he had left trailing behind him. A flash of guilt went through hm knowing that the cleaners would not be impressed with the extra water over the floors, but that feeling was quickly brushed aside.
When he reached the door to his destination, instead of knocking, Sherlock never knocked, he walked straight in. Much to the disgust of his older brother. Sherlock quickly noticed the stranger in the room. She had long brown hair, perfect posture. As she turned to face the detective, he was a little taken back by how beautiful she was. Well by a 'normal' person's perspective this girl would be considered beautiful. Sherlock dismisses these thoughts from his mind before anyone could realise he was staring.
"Ah, brother dear, you've made it, finally," Mycroft commented, looking at his pocket watch with a hint of disappointment that Sherlock had become accustom to.
"Who is this?" Sherlock questioned, pointing at the girl before him and ignoring his brother entirely.
"This is Penelope Morris, she works for me in my department but also occupies a position in Her Majesty's secret service," Mycroft said, quite matter of factly, seeming bored of the conversation already. "Miss Morris, this is my brother, Sherlock Holmes."
"Nice to meet you Mr Holmes," Penelope smiled as she rose from her seat, extending her hand towards the stranger. Sherlock was hesitant to return the gesture, though as he reaches for her hand, he uses these few seconds to make a few quick deductions.
Single, lives alone, youngest of two children, estranged from family, used to being alone, studied law and criminal science at university but has a passion for dance, been taking classes since she was 4, that explains the perfect posture and the way she holds herself. Graded highest in her recruitment class but was the lowest in field tests. This is her first assignment away from the desk, she is nervous yet eager to prove herself. But there was something else, something he couldn't quite put his finger on.
"Yes, Penelope was it?" Sherlock greeted, noticing that Mycroft was shaking his head and Penelope looked rather amazed. He then realised that he had said all of his deductions out loud.
"um, please, call me Penny. That was amazing!" Penny stutters, letting go of his hand and returning to her seat.
"Oh really? You're the first person to think so," Sherlock gives he a small smile. "Was I right?"
