Chapter 10

I wake up to someone wrapping their arms around me. I turn around and see it's Gray
"Hi bub" he whispers
"Hi babe" I whisper turning around on my side again, getting comfortable
"How are you feeling" he asks wrapping his arms around my torso and laying down
"I feel groggy and gross" I say
"Any pain you parents want to know" he says
"Just a little" I say
"What time did you get home last night?"
"I don't know I slept through them giving me an IV and put the cast on, I woke up when Connor was carrying me out of the hospital which was like 1 am"
"Oh, I can leave so you can sleep" he says sitting up
"No stay" I whine
He doesn't reply, instead he just lays back down and pulls me into him. I instantly fall back into a much deserved sleep.
I wake up 2 hours later and grayson on his phone
"Good morning" I whisper
"Good morning" he says smiling, putting his phone down
"What time is it?" I ask
"It's 11, the others are down stairs" he says
"What do you mean by others?" I ask
"Friends, your brothers, Nate's girlfriend and Connor's new girlfriend" he says
"Well then we should probably go down there" I say sitting up and swinging my legs over the side of my bed
I look at myself in the mirror and see that my hair is still in the french braids from last night and I'm wearing running shorts and Connor's sweatshirt. I find my glasses sitting on my dresser so I grab them with my right hand and slide them on.

I walk downstairs with Grayson behind me and go to the living room. When we enter I go over and sit with Camden who is one of the giant bean bags from the basement
"Great you guys are up, I have a plan for today" Camden says resting his arm on my shoulders
"What is it?" I ask
"We are going to go exploring like we normally do but today will be the first video Cole and I post on our channel w finally decided to make" he said
"I'm down we haven't gone exploring in forever" I say
"What hold on didn't Addi just slice her finger open yesterday I mean she has a giant cast or something on her hand" Ava says
"She's explored with a freaking broken foot before I think she's fine with a sliced finger" Cole says
"That is true" I say
"Well where would we be going?" Gray asks
"They abandoned observatory that is on the cliff that's over the beach" Camden says
"Or the abandoned laboratory" Cole says
"What one would be easier for me?" I ask
"Probably the laboratory" Cam says
"Okay then we can do the other place when I don't have a giant cast on my hand" i say
"What time will we be leaving?" Ava asks
"15 minutes?" Cole says
"Okay then I need to go get dressed" i say standing up and walking back up to my room
I go into my closet and grab a pair of my leggings and one of Connor's Harvard shirts that I stole. I take my hair out of the braids as best as I can and brush it out, struggling a little. I grab my brush, keys, phone, tennis shoes, and two hair ties and head down stairs
"Gray can you braid my hair?" I ask
"Sure"
I walk over and sit on the ground in front of him handing him my brush and two hair ties
"French or Dutch?"
"Dutch please"
He splits my hair into two sections and starts braiding one of them making me feel relaxed.
He finishes the braids after 5 minutes and we are all ready to go
"Who's driving" i ask slipping my shoes on so Ava can tie them
"I am" Camden says grabbing his keys and wallet
We all walk out to the garage and get in Cole's black 2017 range rover
Ava, Grayson, and I get in the middle while Cole and Cam get in the front.
"How far away is this place?" Gray asks
"15 minutes" Camden says pulling out of the driveway
"Can you give us a backstory of this place so we know what happened before we go in" i ask
"Sure" Cole says pulling out his phone
"So this place shut down in the 90's and was running for 10 years. It was known for experimenting on animals with great new drugs and vaccines. But in 1989 it was found out that they actually did inhuman experiments and other things to humans. It got shut down after a year and all the scientist and doctors were arrested"
"Did anyone die there?"
"Yes multiple people actually over the span of 10 years it was open"
"So it's hunted" Ava asks
"No, not that we know of" Camden says
"Okay, because all three of you know Ava and I don't play with ghosts" i say leaning my head on the window looking out at the scenery
"Yes we know" Cam says turing the radio on
We jam out for the next 10 minutes before pulling up and parking in a hidden spot. Cole grabs the camera and tripod from his bag and sets it up on the dashboard
He turns it on and the boys start their intro.
Cole is probably going to real in his dad's subscribes due to him also being on a duo explore channel when he was in his 20's and early 30's. While Camden is going to bring in his thousands of subscribers from instagram and possibly tik tok, so they should be set on getting subscribers and making money off the videos.  I zone out while they start introducing themselves and explain what their channel will be about.
"Today we brought along our whole friend group to explore this abandoned place we are at so could you guys please introduce yourself and something about you" Cole says turning towards us
"Hi Guys my name is Addison put these dummies call me Addi I'm Cam's twin and Grayson's girlfriend," I say waving to the camera
"Oh yes she cut her finger last night that's why she has the wrap/cast thing on her hand" Camden says facing the camera
"I'm Grayson I'm Ads boyfriend and I've been friends with these people for 11 years" he says waving at the camera
"By the way they normally aren't this grumpy" Cole says to the camera causing me to roll my eyes
"Alright well I'm Ava I'm Addi's best friend and these idiotic boys have known me since I was 6 besides Camden" she says smiling and waving at the camera We all get out of the car and start finding walking towards the overgrown path to the building. The boys are up in front talking about boy things while Ava and I start messing around with each other. We start running around and jumping on each other;s back. I'm currently jumping onto Ava's when she loses her balance sending us both to the ground in a fit of laughs. Cole turns around and aims the camera our way
"And she's back," Camden says as he walks over to help us up
"Alright guys we gotta run to get to this place because it's right by a hospital and we are not looking to get caught" Cole says after turning the camera off
We all start running at full speed until we reach the front of the building. The boys turn the camera on again to finally tell them where we are and the back story.
"Addi let's do a tik tok" Ava says pulling her phone out and setting it on a step
"Okay what one?" I ask
"The singing in the shower one" he says finding the sound
"Alright that one's easy"
"Grayson come hither" she says calling for Grayson
"What," he asks walking up to us
"Tik tok time" she says smiling
"Nooooo" he whines
"Please" i ask giving him puppy eyes
"Nope," he says walking away and over to the other two
We quickly do the tik tok and go back over to the other 3 who just got finished
"Alright we need to put these masks on since this place is probably biohazardous" Camden says pulling out 5 masks from his bag and handing them to us.
We all take one and put it on before walking up to the front door only to find it locked
"Alright guys we actually cannot get into the building using the front door so we are going to have to find another way in" Cadmen says holding the camera up to his face.
We all start walking around to try to find a broken window or a door that is unlocked so we can get in. We've been looking for the past 2 minutes before I find a window that we can get into if we climb a little bit.
"HEY GUYS" I yell out hoping to grab their attention
"WHAT?" Ava yells back
"I FOUND A WAY IN" I say starting to climb up it to the best of my abilities
"OKAY WE'RE COMING" I hear Grayson yells
I continue climbing a little more using my left hand and left elbow
"Girl what the heck are you doing the boys are going to go ballistic of they see you climbing with your hand" Ava says
"This is the way in though" I say sitting on the window sill of the broken window
"Alright just stay there until the boys get here and help me up" she says starting to climb up to me
"How did you get up there" Cole asks walking up to the building with the other two
"I climbed" I say pulling Ava up to the ledge with my good hand
"Yes obviously, but how" he asks
"I used my elbow and arm" I say like it's the most obvious thing in the world
"Alright, are we sure this is the only way in" Cam asks pointing the camera right at the window
"Yes now come on we don't have all day" I say stepping into the building to be greeted by the worst smell
"Oh god it smells terrible in here" I say gagging a little
"Addi come grab the camera please"
I walk over to the window and grab the camera from Camden and start showing them the room
"It smells really bad in here guys" I whisper to the camera
"I think the boys are struggling to get in, they are taking forever" I say looking over to see Ava helping Cole get in.
"You guys suck I got in quick with a dang cast on my hand" I say laughing at them
"Which you should not have done" Cam says getting in the building easier than Cole did
Once the boys are all in the building I point the camera ag everyone as we walk around
"So we're going to turn the camera off and just go explore around the top floor then we will go to the main and the basement, if something interesting happens or we find something we'll turn the camera back on" Cole says talking to the camera before taking the camera from me and turning it off.
