Idea: Memory can't see anything. Also shy, so didn't mention blindness at first

Oneshot:

Aiden was new to the cast of The Rainbow Saga. He was nervous, and shy, and always worried he wasn't doing a very good job, but somehow he got the part of a sly and somewhat creepy character. He played a character named Memory. Memory is a villain, but it's nicer for Aiden to just think of Memory more as... misunderstood. Especially considering his backstory.

Aiden had been given the outfit for Memory and was told to try it on. He had on the suit and pants and shoes now all that was left was the mask. He thought he looked great! ...Oh, hey! I look dapper!

Dapper is a word he and his friends jokingly use to describe someone who looks fancy. Memory definitely fell into the 'dapper' category.

Jokes aside, Aiden grabbed Memory's spiral mask and put it on. Surprisingly, it fit quite well. They had to sleek back Aiden's poofy hair so it wouldn't show above the mask. The one thing that bothered him was how hard it was to see. Aiden could make out the mirror and his figure, but the rest was extremely hard to make out.

He considered telling the costume designers about this, but he didn't want to bother them. There were new characters coming in soon and the designers were already working so hard on the other costumes. He didn't want them to worry about one more thing. So, he decided he'd deal with it for as long as he could.

"Ow-" Aiden fell to the floor after hitting his head on one of the trees again. This was just a dress rehearsal, so there were no cameras turned on, luckily.

Director Lucy Hartman showed up today to see how Aiden had been doing during filming even though she'd been a little sick recently. Needless to say, she wasn't happy with his performance.

Normally, Ms. Hartman was patient and calm with the actors, only getting pushy if she needed to. The sickness must be messing with her temper at the moment. She didn't confront Aiden about how he was doing and rather showed her disappointment through small gestures and facial expressions off-set.

Aiden felt really bad.

She finally told them to take a break and went to go check her notes and Aiden was worried she was going to kick him off. He really liked some of the people here and actually really loved the show. He didn't want to be kicked off.

He observed the others. Ryan was talking with Elan. Most of the technician crew was hanging out behind them all. Some of the base colors were hanging out with the rest of them, even though they didn't have to be there. One of the Red entities seemed really excited for some reason. The only one he knew was a guy named Carter who played one of the Green entities.

Aiden took off the mask and put it on the table. Everything was immediately brighter and he could see much better. He was a little surprised. I suppose he got used to the obstruction of his vision with the mask on.

The mask is the problem. I need to tell someone about it. But Aiden still didn't want to bother the costume crew. Conflicted, Aiden sat down and grabbed a drink of water.

He didn't notice the rainbow themed person walking toward him. Grey sat down next to Aiden and startled him a little.

"Hey, Aiden!" Grey said. Aiden was worried he was mad at him for messing up so much.

"H-Hey, Grey," Aiden replied. Why'd he stutter?

"How are you?" Grey asked.

"I'm fine."

"You sure? You seemed to be having a hard time getting used to the set." Strangely, Grey seemed more worried than annoyed.

"I just..." He picked up the mask. "This thing is a little hard to see out of, but I don't want to bother anyone with fixing it, seeing as they're all so busy already."

"Hm..." Grey took the mask and adjusted the straps so it would fit his head. He put it on and, even though Aiden couldn't see his face very well, he could tell Grey was surprised.

"A little hard to see out of?" Grey asked. "Kid, I can barely see anything right now!" He took off the mask, mumbling about something.

Aiden was a little uncomfortable. "Yeah, I know..."

"You should've told someone about this. You almost got kicked off."

Aiden didn't respond.

"Look, if you don't want to ask them, I can on your behalf, but we have to get this fixed anyway."

Aiden nodded, "Okay."

Grey smiled and got up to talk to Ms. Hartman. And, honestly? Aiden felt relieved.

~|~

"Great job, Aiden!" Ms. Hartman exclaimed. It was a couple days after they fixed the mask and Aiden had been doing an amazing job. Being Memory was fun!

One of the Red entities backstage, who's name is Max, Aiden learned, loved the fact that there was a new villain, and his cheers could be heard backstage, along with Carter's shushes but we don't talk about that.

Anyway, Aiden's part as Memory was here to stay, and the whole cast was happy about that.
