chapter 8

"taehyungie!" a certain omega squealed, his eyes brimmed with tears as taehyung delved his long fingers into hoseok's sides, the small giggling and laughing.

his socked feet flapped around as jin finished cooking their lunch meal, the smell of beef and vegetables wafting through the upper house kitchen.

it was a warm afternoon, everyone mainly laying around and just enjoying not having the responsibilities of work mulling over their heads like a dark cloud.

jimin passed the pair, hoseok squealing again before reaching out for the alpha, a large smile on his face.

"help me jiminie!" he giggled, smiling up at taehyung as he returned a boxy grin back.

jimin shook his head slightly, moving away from the pair, his hand coming up to press against his nose. taehyung raises an eyebrow at the alpha s behaviour, hoseok glancing curiously at him.

"hoseok-" jimin gasps a little, moving back even further. "please get changed or something." he rasped out, quickly moving out into the kitchen.

hoseok glanced up at taehyung, the alphas eyes following jimin into the kitchen. he held a finger up to the smaller, quickly following jimin into the kitchen.

he reached the alpha, jimin stood near an open window, his eyes shut as he breathed in the fresh air.

"hey, are you okay?" taehyung knew that jimin would never talk to the omega lile that under normal circumstances, so something had either happened to jimin or hoseok.

"yeah- yeah. i'm sorry." he bit his lip, running a hand over his face. "uh, hoseok's preheat has started so his scent was super strong."

taehyung raised an eyebrow, running his hand through his curls. "shit, really? i can't smell him." he sniffed the air, shaking his head afterwards. "it's probably because you're a dominant alpha."

jimin nodded, glancing behind taehyung and spotting hoseok standing in the small corridor that connected the living room to the kitchen awkwardly, hands behind his back.

he smiled gently at him. "hey seok. i'm sorry. your scent is just a little too much at the minute."

it was true, the omegas usual sweet scent was actually even sweeter than before, engulfing the living room at its surroundings.

preheat syndrome was something pretty normal that most omegas suffered with. it was kinda like premenstural syndrome except it resulted in omegas becoming clingy to their alphas and their scent glands becoming more active throughout the build up to their heat.

hoseok usually suffered with his preheat for around three days before the final event hit, leaving him alone and in his room in a lot of pain.

"let's leave jimin to cool down, okay? let's go see if everyone has finished cooking at the upper house." taheyung smiled knowingly at jimin who nodded, turning back to the open window.

hoseok nodded, following taehyung up to the upper house, skipping gently behind him. he'd chosen something comfy to wear, yoongi's giant sweatshirt and a pair of comfortable shorts with fluffy socks to add to his very causal look.

"is jiminie going to be okay?" he whispered, tugging on taehyungs sleeve a little.

taehyung chuckled, nodding his head at the omega. "of course he will seok, he just needs sometime alone. i'll have to warn the others about your preheat though. yoongi especially, he'll be effect the most."

"since he's a true alpha?"

taehyung nodded. "but that doesn't mean you can't borrow some of his clothes for nesting. i'm sure he'll happily hand some over."

hoseok giggled, already thinking about making a nest with his alphas clothes. the heavenly rich scent of yoongi was so comforting he could bury himself in it all the time, wanting to always be surrounded by yoongi.

"wait here a moment." taehyung instructed, the omega obeying and waiting patiently outside the door.

he met eyes with yoongi, the alpha grinning widely at the sight of hoseok, already wanting to bundle him up into his arms.

"come on!" taehyung teased, popping his head out the door as he noted the prolonged eye contact between yoongi and hoseok. "jin said your scent suppressants are in your room, go take a couple and then come back out. it should help with the sweetness."

hoseok nodded, glancing back at yoongi who bit his lip at the sight of the omega drowned in his jumper. he felt possessive.

his omega wearing his clothes.

jin served the now cooked food into smaller bowls, recruiting jeongguk to take the food out, making sure to grab chopsticks before following the younger out. namjoon was already sat at the table waiting, taehyung giggling loudly before sitting down next to his hyung.

a few moments later, hoseok reappeared, his scent diminished, just in time for jimin to appear, smiling at hoseok, noting the lack of scent in the air.

hoseok took the spot next to yoongi, smiling as the alpha wrapped an arm around his waist, immediately gathering up some meat and vegetables for his plate.

"what are we going to do about seok's heat?" jin mumbled, sticking a piece of beef in his mouth.

jimin pondered for a moment. "well surely it's fine if the upper house is off limits for a few days, i mean his heats don't last too long anyway so we can cook in the main house."

jin nodded along with the idea, namjoon agreeing too. "none of us ever really come over here anyway. only yoongi, and we can all trust yoongi enough to keep himself under control."

taehyung glanced over at the true alpha, watching how he gently fed hoseok a small piece of meat, his tail swaying gently behind him as he giggled, leaning closer into the older. he turned back to the group, smiling a little.

"even if yoongi couldn't control himself, i don't think we have anything to worry about."

i wanna discuss omega stuff like terminology that i'll be using to clear anything up;

preheat: baso just like the few days before their heat where their body prepares themselves for heat like a normal human body would with a period

heat: the time where omegas are most fertile and also obviously a high libido and a higher craving for intimacy from their mated alpha

genitals: so i decided to have omegas have vaginas and female body organs such as ovaries and all that. this is because i want to incorporate pregnancy and i was thinking about the easiest way to explain everything and this is what i decided on, so yes, future smut with hoseok will have descriptions of vaginal sex

i think that's it if there's anything else i'll mention it in later chapters but yeah!
