chapter 3

the ride there was filled with hoseok's small laughs and giggles, yoongi grinning the entire time as jin drove steadily down the highway. they'd had a lunch break previously, munching on the delicious eats that Taehyung's mother had prepared for them.

fixed on top of hoseok's head was beanie, covering his small cat ears out of sight. it wasn't that hybrids were uncommon, the team was just worried that someone might try and steal hoseok, since hybrids can be rare now days.

before leaving, the group came up with a a few activities that they wanted to do throughout their week at the small forest hideout.

namjoon had chosen reading and painting, a few canvases and books placed in his honour, along with yoongi's request to paint and jeongguk's request for exercise facilities. hoseok had instantly pouted at the 'adult' activities and instantly requested some lego pieces to build as well as some toy boats to play with in the river.

now the gravel crunched beneath the car tyres as they pulled up outside the various buildings. there was the main house in front, a large grass area and a house floating on water. up towards the top, there was the upper house and a small caravan.

hoseok excitedly squirmed in his seat as yoongi chuckled, a fond smile on his face.

"excited kitten?"

hoseok nodded frantically. "mhm! 'm excited to spend this week with hyungie." he added shyly, he could feel his ears move flat against his head underneath the beanie.

yoongi smiled even wider, jin rolling his eyes at the pair who were obviously head over heels for one another.

"help me with the bags yoongi-ah." jin requested, the other nodded and following his elder to the back of the car.

hoseok decided to explore a little, instantly running out to the freshly mown grass, inhaling the deep scent of nature. he giggled, trotting around, looking under the canopy to find a small tent. he didn't want to sleep there, it looked uncomfortable.

he looked around a little more, heading down to the floating house and peeping into the rooms.

"you like it here seokie?" jeongguk's voice made hoseok jump as he turned around, nodding shyly. jeongguk was the only other alpha other than yoongi that hoseok felt intimidated by. in some cases, he was comfortable with him, but when the pair was alone, his scent was rather overwhelming. "i'm sure i'll be staying here. but there is another room across the hall." he gestured to another door, hoseok biting his lip and nodding.

jeongguk smiled, cute bunny teeth poking out as he placed his suitcase down, slipping towards the younger.

jeongguk was just like yoongi in the sense that he was head over heels for the small omega. the only difference was, jeongguk was more than prepared to claim him, wanting him for his own. but he restrained, knowing that hoseok held his heart out to his hyung, knowing he would never have a chance.

"i-i think hoseokie wants to stay somewhere w-warmer." he mumbled, playing with his hands. jeongguk hummed in agreement.

"we wouldn't want our little baby catching a cold now would we?"

hoseok flushed red as he shook his head.

luckily, before jeongguk could tease the other anymore, the group called out, the pair making their way to the main house. it was beautiful really; modern design and spacious. everyone was looking forward to relaxing.

hoseok scrambled inside, throwing his shoes off before standing in the small living room area. he glanced at yoongi, the older smiling and patting his lap. he hesitantly crept over, slipping down to rest his back against yoongi's chest, the older's hands spreading to rest on his waist.

yoongi nuzzled his nose into the omega, sighing happily in content as the orangey smell flooded his senses. he was a little jealous when he saw both hoseok and jeongguk come back from the floating house. but it was clear that hoseok still wanted yoongi.

he planned to make a move tonight.

"have we decided on rooms?" jimin spoke up, taehyung playing with the alphas hair in content as most nodded except jin and yoongi. "where are you two going?"

"i kinda wanted the floating house. there's two rooms right?" yoongi spoke up, turning to jeongguk, the younger nodded his head, slightly irritated at how the omega was perched so prettily in his lap. he wanted hoseok in his own lap so desperately.

"yoongi-ah, why don't we share it together?" jin suggested as yoongi shook his head, laughing a little.

he only really suggested it since then hoseok could've been across the way from him and it would've been less suspicious than if he and hoseok shared a room. everyone was really protective of the omega, and he was unsure if he'd be allowed to gatekeep him in a room.

"i'll just take the caravan. it's quiet and i need to work on my music." yoongi comprised. at least with the caravan, him and hoseok would have some peace. he smiled to himself, he was always thinking about his little omega. well, soon to be his. "plus i'd like the peace. i'd have somewhere to go to relax without anyone else. it's perfect."

jin nodded, clicking his tongue against the roof of his mouth. "i'll have the tent then. we're al here experiencing new things, might as well take it to the next level."

everyone laughed, eventually deciding on their rooms. jeongguk would take the floating house, jimin would have the room in the upper house, jin had the tent, yoongi would take the caravan, namjoon staying in the single room at the main house and taehyung would stay in the double room. all that was left was deciding where hoseok would sleep.

"have you chosen yet seok?" taehyung spoke, raising an eyebrow. "he can stay with me, the room has two beds."

namjoon shook his head. "i don't think he should stay with an alpha. what if we go into a rut? or hoseok gets his heat? it's unsafe."

hoseok shook his head, glancing at taehyung. "i'll stay with taehyungie! 'm usually good at knowing when my heats are." he pointed out, a slight pout on his face.

"why doesn't jimin swap with hoseok? then he essentially has a whole building to himself." jeongguk suggested. "it's not that we don't trust you baby, we're just worried." face full of concern, everyone nodded.

yoongi gripped onto hoseok tighter after hearing what jeongguk called him. he was glad his nickname was something that most people would say and wasn't his own special one. but the fact he called him 'baby' still made him uncomfortable.

"so it's decided. taehyung and jimin will share whilst hoseok will stay at the upper house!" namjoon clapped his hands, everyone mumbling in agreement. "let's unpack. yoongi, since you're going up to the house too, can you help hoseok?"

yoongi grinned, knowing that his omega was going to be so close to him, even if they were in separate rooms. he glanced down at hoseok's skirt and jumper, wanting to take the boy into a kiss right there and then. instead, he held himself back, simply replying with an 'okay'.
