April came by and so did the Twins Sixteenth. Of course, Lee and I planned a huge party for them. The pair was much more popular than I thought they were. With all their pranks (a good portion at the expense of the student body), I had expected people to dislike them or at least resent them in some way. However, the evening of Friday April first rolled around, and Lee and I were expecting a turnout of over 100 people.

We tried our hardest to make it a surprise, but keeping the Twins occupied on a Friday evening came harder than anticipated.

"You want to go into Hogsmeade? Now?" Fred asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yep," Lee said from the armchair closest to the fire.

"Mate," George laughed, "It's only seven. Don't you want to wait until later in the evening to take us out?"

"No, I think it's a clever idea to go now," Lee insisted.

"I heard a band is playing at the Hogs Head," I offered.

"Yeah, a band's playing," Lee said.

"Well, I'm not one to deny alcohol and free music," Fred said standing up, "What say you Georgie?"

"To Hogsmeade me go!"

"Aren't you coming?" Fred asked seeing that I was not following them.

"You three can have a boy's night," I smiled, "I'll be here until you get back."

The three friends turned and hurried out of the common room. I hopped off the couch and went to find Percy.

"Percy please," I begged after his third decline, "I promise we'll be quiet."

He raised a questioning brow at me.

"Okay, but we'll put silencing charms on the doors and it's just this once. They're your brothers."

"Fine," He sighed, "But no one under fourth year! And no one from Slytherin, they're always bringing in drugs."

"Thank you, Perc! You're the best," I gave him a quick peck on the cheek and ran off to get Angelina and Alicia to begin decorating.

"I better not find a mess tomorrow morning!" Percy called after me.

I spent the rest of the evening decorating the room in orange and gold. A big banner hung above the fireplace. The words Happy Birthday Gred and Forge were painted on the front; Alicia had enchanted them to alternate between orange and purple. There were balloons and streamers everywhere. I paid a willing seventh year to buy us Firewhisky, Punch, and Lager. Angelina had snuck off the kitchens to retrieve pasties and truffles. The common room was decked out and the guests began to filter in.

Fred and George returned with Lee around 9. They jumped and smiled widely at the full room. Fred ran over and gave me a big kiss to thank me for my efforts.

"Go get a drink," I laughed.

"I need some time to cool off from the Hogs Head," Fred smiled, "Lee doesn't mess around."

He pulled me to the dance floor and flicked his wand to crank the music.

For the rest of the evening, everyone was dancing, drinking, and talking loudly. The room grew heavy with the heat of teenage inebriation. Loud punk rock was blaring, keeping everyone moving. Fred danced messily and dramatically; his sweaty hair swinging about. George danced remarkably close with Angelina. Lee was asleep on the couch (I never understood how he was able to relax at a party). I saw Alicia go off somewhere with a sixth year she had been talking to. With our friends minding their own, Fred and I were by ourselves.
