Asteria (A captain Rex love story) *ON HOLD*

Chapter 5

       Rex put his armor on and made his way to the break hall with the rest of the men. He went to the front to stand with Anakin for the announcement.

"Boys I have some news for you settle down," Anakin announced getting everyone's attention. The clones all found a spot to sit and waited for the general to continue.

"I have some good and bad news, I'll start with the bad. Ashoka won't be able to come back to the 501st until she's all healed up. It's going to take some time so she will be taking a leave of absence."

All the men were mumbling to each other, they all respected Ashoka as a commander even though she was young.

"How long will commander Tano be gone general?" Asked a solider in the back.

"It's going to take time for her to heal. I'd say a couple months at the very least, I'm sorry boys." Anakin said.

"Well what's the good news?" Fives asked.

"One of my close friends will be stepping in for Ashoka in the mean time. She's a Jedi knight like myself and is very wise. I'm excited for her to join us, I think she'll be able to help us fight in ways we haven't been able to before. She was trained by master Windu, she knows how to fight using the light and dark side of the force and staying balanced. She will be a great asset to us." Anakin told his men with a smile.

All the men started to cheer, Anakin was glad his men were going to be welcoming to Asteria.

"Hey general, is she a looker or what I see that smile!" Another soldier called him out on. All the men started to laugh and poke fun at him.

"Okay okay boys she is very beautiful I will admit, but she will be your general as well. I expect every man here to treat her with the same respect you give me understood?" Anakin questioned.

All the men chanted back "yes sir"

Asteria had just been woken up by Cody, he told her they were about 10 minutes away from Anakin.
Asteria had her things by the entrance of the ship already and she was standing in the front talking with Cody. Asteria and Cody had formed an amazing friendship since she usually helped with Obi-Wan's men. She was sad that she wouldn't be around Cody as often anymore and hear his battle stories. She loved listening to his war stories and seeing the happiness in his eyes. She loved that the clones enjoy their lives fighting alongside the republic and didn't resent their lives in any way.

She could understand how the clones could want to leave their duty. Much like the Jedi were, they were born and raised to have one objective in their life and nothing else. At least they all had each other all the time.
Asteria often wished she could take a break from the order and have a normal life. She has so many emotions inside of her, her master trained her to have serious feelings and emotions so she could learn to use the dark side and not fall completely to it. She mastered all her training, but it caused her to have more conflict with herself than most Jedi. She knows her master has the same issues, he just keeps a poker face in the council so no one sees his true self but Asteria understood him because she struggled herself. 

"All right miss, we're approaching your new team." Cody told her.

"Oh Cody I will miss you, I've never really battled with other troops than you and your men. What if they don't like me?" Asteria started to get nervous.

Cody chuckled and said, " Asteria, we're all the same men. I will see you every so often miss don't be upset. The 501st will love you just as the 212th does. If you get lonely you can bother Captain Rex, he's a people pleaser he'll always be there for you I guarantee. He's a good man."
