"Good morning David" my mother exclaimed as she pulled the curtains of the window next to my bed.
"Good morning Mom" I replied
"Had a bad night ?" She asked me as she saw that I was sweating.
"Yeah" I replied in a weak voice.
"What happened?"
"I saw that weird dream" I replied looking into her soothing eyes. "It is the same dream that I had been seeing for the past couple of weeks"
"You mean ..... the one you told me last Friday?" She asked, pacing the room towards my bed, ".... about you getting lost?"
"Yes, but I cannot remember anyone in the dream .... the only person I remember is you and dad." I told her as she pulled into a warm hug.
"And what was I saying?"
"I shall look after you dear .... or something like that " I tried to quote the exact words. But I could not remember them. " And I do not understand why you told that! "
"It's just a nightmare David! " Mom exclaimed with a sudden laugh and pulled me out into her hands. "I will never leave you dear! .... I promise! ...." She said looking into my watery eyes.
"Lynda! Are you there?" I heard dad calling mom as he climbed up the creaking staircase.
"I am here Peter!" Mom called back.
"Morning David!" Dad exclaimed as he entered the room.
"Morning dad!" I replied and got out of bed trying to hide the tears in my eyes. "Are you going somewhere?"
"Yes my dear .... I have to go to the ministry of magic for a small errand." Dad replied as he paced towards mom. "Lynda, I need to talk to you."
"Sure!" mom replied to dad and turned towards me "David, .... get ready and come down for breakfast."
An hour later....
I was seated with my mom at the dining room. Mom had served everyone a bowl of corn soup. It was so delicious that I had to ask for another bowl, which my mom refused. Dad had gone to the ministry when I came down for breakfast.
"Mom, where is dad?"
"He is at -- " before she could finish her sentence dad had apparated into the dining room.
"Hello!" he exclaimed.
"Hello dad!"
"He was just asking where you were."
"I was at the ministry of magic" dad expressed "Didn't I tell you when I was leaving?"
"Oh! You told but I forget," I told him and he nodded back. "Mom?"
"Yes dear,"
"Can I go to the front yard?" I asked with a pleading expression on my face.
I wanted some time alone. So I thought of going for a walk through the garden that my mother had made using her anonymous power, which she had never told me.
"Alright dear." Mom replied with a silent laugh.
I stood up to go but mom called "David,"
I looked back at my mom "Yes mom,"
"We want to talk to you about something," she claimed "I think that it is time to tell you about it."
"About what?" I asked silently.
