I make a lot of OCs for other books, or just because I get hit with the writing bug.
So I'll start putting them here, along with character inspiration and just scenarios themselves~!

First Scenario: You are the first mate of a captain who worked for the king... And your ship just got captured. After your captain got killed for taking too long to walk the plank, it was your turn as you were shoved to your feet.
Just as you were about to step on to the plank, you freeze and the pirates turn when a door slammed opened and someone called out "And what is going on out here?"
You turn your gaze before your eyes widen at the sight of the male/female. They must be the captain...
"Captain, this is the first mate of the ship we captured. We disposed of the Captain as asked and assumed —" The man beside you started to say, confirming your thoughts that they were Captain, as the person approached, adjusting their loose shirt.
"You assumed incorrect. Gulliver, send this man to the brig so I may speak to him... And bring the first mate to my chambers, tied to a chair. Lastly, send the others who survived from our attack to the brig as well so they may decide their fate," the captain spoke sternly before they walk to another room.
After a second silence, the man who must be named Gulliver snapped "You heard the captain, James you are to go to the brig right now! The rest of you, take the others to the brig with James!" The pirates hurry to do what they are commanded, you being dragged to where the captain first stepped from and tied to a chair in front of a desk by Gulliver.
Soon, the captain returned and stared you down, looking over you as if searching with their eyes only.
Do you decide to speak or stay silent?
Second Scenario: You are a new member of the Jolly Sailor crew, and having just learned your captain was a merman/mermaid and needed monthly swims to make sure they would not die.
One night, the ship being still, you step out of the sleeping quarters with a sigh, rubbing your head. You couldn't sleep, so you decided to stargaze until you were tired...
However, your captain seemed to have the same plan after their swim, leaning against the tail as they dried their hair. They had already changed, and as they dried their hair, they looked at the stars... While singing to themselves?
"My heart is pierced by Cupid... I disdain all glittering gold... There is nothing can console me, but my jolly sailor bold..." They sang sweetly, keeping their voice low enough you hadn't heard them when you were coming up from the sleeping quarters.
