"I need to ask a favor of you Alina," Martin said as the two sat down after Alina's first rehearsal of the morning.
"Well, tell me," She replied. "I have to be upstairs in an hour."
Alina was annoyed by him when he interrupted her earlier while she was trying to warm up with the rest of the company. She had to get to her next class in an hour or else these stupid americans would think all of them were selfish brats. Either that or they would think she was too good at ballet to show up on time.
As if that were the reason for her running late. It did not matter, what mattered was getting this guy to spit out his information before she could run late. Martin did not seem like the type of man to get to the point of things either.
"I need you to talk to your boss about using the Mariinsky as the back drop of the film." Martin said handing her a document filled with English writing. "If your boss agrees you will not have to leave Russia or even have to stop dancing to do this role."
"I understand," She muttered looking down at the text she could barely read. "Though my boss is not going to step aside and use the theatre for a movie. Plus you most go through the government to get permission to shoot this movie in Russia as well."
He nodded his head, "Well if you will excuse me I am going to get to my next appointment."
Alina walked off with a sigh, she was beginning to get rather sick of this man. He kept showing up when she needed to get somewhere. It was going to be a difficult while when the filming actually began and she had to miss classes just to make sure she could film the stupid movie.
It was not that she did not want to be apart of the movie she just did not like the fact that she was going to have to deal with pausing her career for a movie. It did not seem right really, though she understood that it would make her famous and get her mother off of her back for the time being.
If not that at least it would get her name out to the rest of the world. Being famous opened doors for people and perhaps it would open up doors for this Russian ballerina.
