"Kailangan kita~~~ ngayon at kailanman~"
I rolled my eyes for the nth time. Xia can't just freaking stop singing that stupid song.
"Ano ba? Kanina ka pa tula nang tula diyan! " She stopped singing and held her chest dramatically.
"May diperensya ka na ba sa pandinig, ha, Sham? Tula? Ang ganda nga ng boses ko, nag effort pa akong kantahan ka! "
I look at her boredly. She was shedding her fake tears. Parang tanga.
"Ah... Kumanta ka pala? " I asked with a bored tone to tease her. She rolled her eyes and I just smirked and chuckled.
I thought she would stop already but it seems like she was having this Last song syndrome all throughout the day!
"Kailangan kit—"
"Xia, ano ba?! Hindi ka titigil? " Gigil kong tanong. Vacant namin ngayon, which is dapat ay sa research pero since tapos na kami, wala nang teacher sa period na'to unless may teacher na magre-request na pumasok sa time ni miss Andalio.
"What? I was just singing? Ano bang mali doon? Bakit? Bakit palagi nalang akong mali?! " Xia dramatically exclaimed, her hand clutching her chest. I rolled my eyes at her. The ever so dramatic Xia Aphrodite.
"Nakakasira ng araw ang boses mo! " Biro ko. Bago pa siya maka alma ay dumating na ang susunod naming subject teacher kaya natahimik narin siya sa wakas. I sighed.
The days passed so quickly and finally, graduation na namin. This is probably my favorite day in every school year, the day when your efforts and struggles are rewarded. And... I just love to see how my parents' faces are filled with pride and love when they look at me wearing medals. Like all my efforts have paid off, including the pressure, stress and all the frustrations I got from school...
"Proud na proud kami sa'yo, anak. "
That was more than enough. It was the words that always push me to study harder, to endure everything. Para sa kanila ni Mama at Papa. Para sa kapatid ko. Those are my chant everytime I feel so stressed in school.
"Salamat, Pa. "
During vacation, I was tutoring kids. It was hitting two birds with one stone since I got to earn plus my brain would still be constantly sharpen instead of just boredly staying in our house. Wala naman kasi kaming mga out of the town trips churva. Walang pera pang gano'n though minsan ay naliligo kami doon sa malapit na beach, malinis at walang bayad. It was still not developed and only few cottages were there but since there are shades from trees and plants growing at the seashore, doon nalang kami naglatag ng maliit na picnic mat para sa foods para tipid.
It was a rest day for me since the family of two kids I've been tutoring are in a vacation for three days. They are siblings kasi. I just finished doing laundries and I'm bored so I decided to call Xia just to chat a bit. Ilang araw na kasi kaming hindi nagkikita. But before that, I need to claim my rewards first. You know, the points you gain collectively after you load your sim? Yeah, that's it.
You've successfully redeemed REWUNLICALL! We hope you enjoy your reward as much as we take delight in extending it to you.
I immediately dialed Xia's number. Malapit na sigurong matapos ang pagri-ring bago niya iyon sagutin.
"Xia! "
She did not respond.
"Hoy! Hello! May tao ba diyan? "
