Chapter 26

Today's the day, it's finally arrived. Dresses are on, make up and hairs are done. I'm so nervous and exited (dresses above)

"You ready?" Rick asks walking up behind me "The bridesmaids have just gone in, Casey and the boys are at the front, just you now" he continues "I don't know if I can do this" I whisper "sure you can, listen! I know I'm not your dad but you're like my daughter and honestly! I couldn't be prouder of you! Just think, this is your first step to happy ever after" he smiles grabbing my hand "Come on!" He smiles, I link my in his and the wooden doors open, I see the guest stand up and Casey's eyes twinkle, his mouth forming into a smile, me on the other hand, I'm a bag full of nerves, what if I fall or something. I can't think now as I'm stood at the front, Rick kisses my cheek and walks over to Julie,
"Can everyone please take their seats" the vicar smiles
"We are gathered here for the marriage of Casey Cody Johnson and Peyton Tracey Lloyd"
"I believe you both have written vows, Casey, you first if you wish"
Casey nods and looks deep into my eyes "I loved you since the start, even though we were like 2 months old, I've loved you growing up and I'll love you growing old. We've had 4 beautiful children together and I know two are looking down on us, smiling! I love you so much and every mistake we've both made has been worth it, it's made us stronger and I love that, like I love you" Casey smiles, a tear runs down my cheek as his hand moves to my fave to wipe it away
"Peyton" the vicar smiles
"You were such an annoying child growing up, I remember the day you ran to my house, exited because you had spotted a few hairs on your upper lip, I've never got that out my head, your stupid laughs when your voice would crack, your girly squeal when your had your first kiss, the day we got together, our first born and of course our engagement, and now today. I know Tilley and Harley are here, watching us, smiling, we helped each other get through that and I cannot wait for us to help each other get through other things. I love you so much and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you" I laugh, tears falling.

We arrive at the venue of the after party and its lovely done up.
Our first dance song came on, All of me by John Legend.
We swayed to the music until it had finished.
An hour later I was stood talking to Coral when Casey came up behind me "I'm going to find Chetly, he's playing football in the car park" he smiles kissing my neck "I'll come" I smile taking his hand waking with him.
I notice Chet stood outside, smoking so I stop and talk to him and it was like everything went in slow motion.
Casey shouting Chetly's name and pushing him out the way of a car and getting hit himself. I rush over to him and he isn't living or conscious, I kneel down and grab his hand as tears fall and sobs escape from my mouth
