Months have passed by after their argument... Paul went back to being full time friends with George and Ringo and of course sleeping with more girls since he had time, but John was left alone after Pete and Stuart dropped out and The Quarrymen were no longer. But John still dearly loved Paul after what had happened.
John and Paul had both missed each other, although they hated to admit it, but John still held a grudge against Paul for his supposed betrayal. Since John's friend's were gone now, Paul didn't have to worry about them anymore and he had a chance to tell him the truth but could never bring himself to do so, thinking that John would believe his long trusted friends over him. Who wouldn't?
George and Ringo both came over to Paul's house after another long school day to have dinner and a little chit chat with each other and everything thing else that best friends did. They were having pretty good fun talking about silly stuff that guys like to talk about, which quickly turned into a serious, deep conversations about problems in life and blah blah. George asked "Paul.. you know, I really think you should tell him" George trying to convince Paul "Oh, not this again, let's not talk about this right now.." Paul pleaded with his eyes. "Come on Paul, I see the way he still glances at you at times, I can tell, deep down you want to be friends with him again and I know he does too..trust me on this Paul!" George proceeded to push him "No, That is final George Harrison!" Paul quickly became aggravated "yes.. Paul"
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
"YES PAUL! HE IS GOING TO LEAVE SCHOOL SOON AND THEN YOU WILL REGRET IT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!" George stood up pushing Paul on his edge. Making Paul rethink everything, Paul went to the bathroom to think about it for a couple minutes, sweating intensely, after coming back out, he made his unwanted decision "Fine! I'll do it Harrison! But if I end up with a black eye from him you are going to pay!" Paul becoming nervous at the thought of what he was going to do.. very soon. George sat back down, giving Paul a reassuring smile and he gave one back. They talked a bit more and then George and Ringo left after giving a goodbye to Paul. The next day came... Paul felt so nervous, as if he was going to be sick, he didn't have any contact with with John for months after all, which felt like years, He went out on the yard to have some fresh air, his nerves really taking over his whole body. He walked about kicking the cans around and then he saw John, sat down on the cold, concrete ground smoking a blunt, looking stressed out of his mind. Paul walked over to John hesitating, he sat down next to him, looking at his face, he still looked the same but emptier. John didn't notice Paul, as his eyes were closed, John took another puff and slowly opened his almond, hazel eyes... "Shit! McCartney, don't scare me like that." John rewinding back to what happened with Paul. "Why are you here? You little backstabber! You going to beg for forgiveness and use me again! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO ME!" John enraged and heartbroken as he grabbed Paul by his shirt. "Please ... I didn't use you... John Lennon." Paul started tearing up, but John didn't let go and gripped him tighter. "I was avoiding you because.. I was scared." Paul now fully sobbing, looking down at the ground. "Why Paul?" John loosened his grip. "Your friends noticed how close we were and I went into the bathroom, they started punching me and kicking me until I was nearly knocked out.. They told me to never speak to you again, otherwise the would do it again.." Paul feeling relieved he finally he got everything of his shoulders. "I'm sorry, John." John tensed up. "But why didn't you tell me when I confronted you? Come on Paul, that was so stupid of you." John asked "I thought you wouldn't believe me... you were friends with them the longest after all." John sighed "I'm sorry, Can...we be friends again? Please, I missed you.." Paul chuckled. "As a friend of course" John said nervously. "Of course John, I wanted to, for a long time already." Paul smiled and John gave one back. They sat there in silence...happy.
