A Brief Introduction

Here are brief descriptions of the Ten Realms that are a big part of The Chronicles of F.R.E.E.

Realm One - Neonia

A very organised and strict Realm. The streets are cobbled, the buildings grey and square, with no other colour but grey anywhere.
Neonia is a very religious Realm. Every home in Neonia must have a room designated for personally worshipping their gods through their songs of prayers and shrine offerings. They have specialist festivals and gatherings, such as the 'Xi Aca Goaxaw' (the Holy Father) which only happens once every fifty years, the weekly church gatherings called 'Goaxaw's Aca Mahanachi' (Father's Holy Manuscript) and the annual 'Sacxi A Aca' (songs of the Holy).
Everything that happens on the Realm of Neonia is under harsh scrutiny of its council. The Council like to keep everything the same and hate any changes. So much so, that they only have a few certain approved hairstyles, clothing and shoe wear for its residents.
Women must have brown or black shoulder length hair and are allowed one of three hairstyles (down, ponytail or bun), their clothing must be of a white, buttoned, collared shirt with black, ankle length skirt, and their shoes must be black and have a 2 inch heel. If any resident is born a redhead or blonde, they are expected to dye their hair.
Men must have one hair style. A short, combed back brown or black haircut, the the only exception to this being baldness. They have to wear a long sleeve, white buttoned, collared shirt with black Trousers and shiny black shoes.
Rules regarding relationships are just as harsh. Couples must be male and female, be of similar age (an age gap of two years or less), come from the same or neighbouring village, and must have known each other for longer than five years. Once the criteria is met, the couple can then request marriage.
The Council pays for family events such as christenings, weddings and funerals, but all are kept to the basic minimum to keep costs down. Weddings, for example, take place in a specialist church in the Realms capital city of Menungton. The guests will only consist of their parents and siblings, dress code would be black, white or grey (to avoid distraction from celebrating the couples love for each other), and the food can either be chicken or beef with boiled vegetables.
Sweet treats and cakes are prohibited on Neonia due to costs. But they do allow a small "pudding", which looks like a green bread roll and tastes of almonds, called Neonian Pudding.
Child birth outside of the authorised wedded couples and same sex marriages are banned by the council and many of the other Realms looking down on this, seeing it as too controlling.
Neonia is mostly famous as being the Home Realm of FREEs Leader, Rebecca Donton.

Realm Two - Cristis
