Family Dinner
"Hey, Aph?" Aaron whispered to his short girlfriend beside him. She looked at him and hummed in response. "Your mom is glaring at me again and it's honestly scaring me."

Aphmau and Aaron were sitting at the table with their family. It was their first family dinner together as a couple. Rachel, Derek, and Melissa were all invited by Aphmau. Although, Sylvana wasn't very happy with the two males in her house.

"Uh, mom? Can you please stop glaring at Aaron? You're kinda scaring him.."

"He BETTER be scared!" She retorted. "I have my eyes on you, Lycan." She growled making Aaron gulp.

'Damn, Travis wasn't joking when he said Aphmau's mom is a little crazy when it comes to her daughter and a guy.' Yes, Aaron was incredibly scared of his girlfriend's mother. How can a guy-who kills multiple people just for his potato to be safe and be with him-be so scared of a woman?

"So protective," teased Derek.

Sylvana stood up and pointed a finger at Derek. "YOU don't have room to talk! So shut that disgusting mouth of yours before I shut it for you!"

Rachel started sweating as she tried to calm Sylvana down. "Sylvana, please calm down. I know you're mad about what happened with-"

"That was years ago! That bastard left us!" Sylvana banged her fist on the table. "He left his daughter and me for a younger woman! He should be here! At least for his daughter! Ugh, I know I shouldn't have listened to Derek in high school. It's his fault that I decided to date that playboy just so he can leave his family in the future."

"I thought he changed." Derek said calmly.

"Cheaters don't change! Once a damn cheater, always a cheater."

Melissa then spoke up, "Uh, guys?" Sylvana and Derek looked at her and saw her pointing at Aphmau. She was staring at the empty chair across Sylvana.

"Can we just eat?" Aphmau asked, still staring at the empty chair. "It's fine." She looked at her mother and gave her a big smile. Aaron noticed the pain behind that smile, he put a hand on her shoulder but Aphmau stands up and excuses herself. Aaron follows her into the bathroom.

As they went into the bathroom, Aphmau broke down but luckily Aaron was there to comfort her. "Hey, it's okay," he said in a soft and calm voice.

"I just... I just wish my dad was here," she sobbed. "I never got to see him after he left and I... I just miss him."

"I know you do."

There was silence for a bit. "Aaron?" Aphmau looked up at her boyfriend with red, puffy eyes. "Yeah?" He replied. "You wouldn't leave me like my dad did, right?" Aaron didn't say anything. Aphmau was ready to burst into tears again. "A-"

"Of course not. Why would I leave someone as kind and beautiful as you?" He ran his fingers through her hair. "I'll love you no matter what." He used his sleeve to wipe Aphmau's tears away. He started making silly jokes to make Aphmau laugh. "Now, come on. Let's finish eating so that we can go to your room and cuddle."

New Year's Eve/Day
Sylvana has finally warm up to Aaron and Derek. Although, she did kinda threatened Aaron after their little Christmas dinner last week.

"But if you get her pregnant before she can finish school, I'll-"

"Don't worry! I promise I won't get her pregnant... yet." Aaron mumbled the last part, hoping his future mother-in-law wouldn't hear him. "Besides, she's still innocent. I'm hoping to tell her the truth during the summer. I really want to have se-" Aaron noticed Sylvana giving him a death glare and probably a warning about finishing his sentence. "I mean... you what? I'll just stay quiet and go... over to where Aph is." He slowly walks away and runs over to Aphmau, hugging her from behind.
