♡Jessica Woods♡
It had been three days since Jace started to ignore me and to be honest I was being worried lately thinking about it.
Jace used to ignore me in the same way when I had a huge crush on Samuel two years ago but now, after everything, after every our sweet talks, the ignorance was affecting me more than I imagined.
Everyday there would be a moment when I had to force myself to stay with Jace without even glancing at him.
No one had no idea how much it hurt me when Jace came at our table and talked with Louise endlessly, ignoring me completely or telling me to leave them alone for some reason.
If truth be told, Jace and Louise would be a cute couple too.
----When I found I was having a free period now, I instantly headed towards the library. I greeted the librarian and she waved me back cheerfully.
Standing infront of the novel section, I took out the Eleanor & Park from the shelf, grinning widely as I couldn't get enough of this book and started to walk towards my regular corner place, holding to my chest.
"Ms.Woods?"
I turned around and saw Mrs.White looking at me through her spectacles. The articles and magazines related to our school were spreaded all over her table and she tapped the chair beside her to sit down and I nodded, placing down the novel and pulled the chair without making any sound before sitting on.
"Ms.Woods, I've been searching for you." she spoke quietly. "There would be a set of questions about the topic I gave you and Jace for the assignment, so be prepared for it. And inform it to Jace as soon as possible."
"But ma'am, why should I want to inform him?" I questioned, knitting my eye brows.
"You are his partner right?" she retorted as if I was a stupid.
"But-"
"No buts. It's a test that you both should pair up and do, so if he failed the exam then you'd be the main reason for it, mind that and leave now." she said sternly and I glared at her when she turned her attention back to the articles.
This gray haired woman gets on my nerves.
-----I placed the Eleanor & Park on its particular place before exiting the library. I muttered curse underneath my breath as I walked around the school until I find Jace but he was nowhere to be seen.
"Hey!" I turned around and surprised when I saw Sarah, my ex-bestfriend, standing infront of me.
"H-Hey." I managed to speak in my usual tone.
"So, how're you doing?" she asked, fidgeting nervously.
"Great?" it came out as a question than a statement.
"Oh.." she folded her lips as if she was thinking how to continue this conversation. "So.. still Sam huh?"
I laughed dryly and nodded. "Yes. Forever."
she forced out a smile too and stared at me intently for a moment. "Jessie, can we talk-"
"Uh I'm sorry. I just need to find my friend." I was surprised at the word that came out of my mouth unintentionally which was referring to Jace.
Friend?
"Louise?"
I shook my head and replied as firm as I could. "Jace."
Her eyes widened slightly as she asked. "You mean the Jace Parker?"
"Yeah." I shrugged nonchalantly.
"Oh.." she nodded at my shoes."He's at the indoor pool." she informed and I narrowed my eyes at her.
