Chapter 28 : Dear Jace

"If truth be told, you're so unlucky, Jessie." Louise stated and I frowned at her.

"Excuse me?"

"I mean, see, you're grounded for absolutely no reason. I wouldn't be complaining if you're grounded after having sex with your loved one and attending Oliver's party."

"Maybe you're lucky." I shrugged and slightly cringed when the thought of Louise having sex with Ryan in a random house appeared in my mind. "Plus you have easy-going parents."

"I have I-don't-give-a-damn-about-my- kid parents." she corrected and I rolled my eyes, staring out of the window.

A gentle breeze ruffled my blonde hair and a slow smile appeared on my face when my thoughts went back to yesterday. Eventhough my mom scolded me and grounded me for a week, I guess, it was worth the trouble.

Actually after hearing the life story of Jace, I should be either angry or disappointed at him but I knew he did regret his mistake and he was punishing himself since now as he could never blame anyone but him.

Plus, I didn't care why he shared his story to Natasha. Because I was beyond happy and felt extra special when he shared his story with me. Maybe I was the one who forced him to tell it but he said that he wouldn't open up to anyone unless he wanted to, so I guess I didn't do anything that made him edgy or uncomfortable.

Well, I think, the perfect time has come and I should do it before it was too late. It was now or never. So I have to take a risk if I wanted to get what I really craved for. I hope Jace would be coming to school today.

I didn't tell about my plan to Louise or anyone because I didn't want to be embarrassed if he didn't come to school today. So it was better to keep it as a secret for now.

The car came to halt and I thanked the God that I put on the seatbelt or else my head would've contacted with the windshield.

"What the hell Lou!" I hissed when I realized we haven't even reached the school yet.

"Finally my plan B worked out." she sighed dramatically.

"What's your plan B?" I asked flatly and she gestured to her steering wheel.

"Bringing you back to earth by stopping the car forcefully."

"We could've died Louise." I frowned and she shrugged.

"Who cares."

I rolled my eyes but she fully turned around and gave me a creepy smile. Oh-no.

"Well, well, I heard that.. Jace has a thing for you."

"What? No! Don't you know he has a girlfriend?" I gasped, averting my gaze.

"Who? Natasha?" she scoffed. "It's just a rumor, Jessie. How on earth can you not notice the soft side of Jace whenever he's around you?"

"Puhleeze.. can you start the car already?" I snorted as we all knew that he was a softie to everyone.

"Isn't it a shame that your little brother is in a relationship before you do?" she asked and I gave her a weird look as this was a worst logic.

"Obviously not. Plus they both are still in denial." I replied and she sighed. "Well, may I know why are you trying to play cupid in my life?" I asked curiously and she licked her lips with the tip of her tongue.

"Uh, well, I didn't know if it's true. But I guess it is." she cleared her throat and I frowned. What is she trying to say? "Ryan told me that Sam has got into a relationship finally." she said looking down and my breath hitched in my throat.
