♡ Jessica Woods ♡
I rooted to the spot, gaping at the piece of paper which was pasted on Jace's locker. I rubbed my eyes before looking at the sheet again and no matter how many times I glanced it, the phrases were remaining unchanged and it completely baffled me.
"Why did you do like this?" Jace asked in a faint voice and when I looked up at him, he was looking at my books teary-eyed.
"No Jace! I didn't do this, I swear." I told but he didn't seem to be convinced as he shook his head still looking down.
"Oh really? Then is there anyone whose name is also Jessica Woods other than you?" Oliver questioned crossing his arms over his chest and I felt everyone's eyes were on me.
"But why do I want to do something against Jace and giving the clue that I was the offender at the same time?" I asked and Oliver nodded his chin at me.
"And that is what you have to ask yourself."
I frowned and looked at Jace. "Listen Jace, I-"
"What's happening here?" some familiar voice cut me off and everyone's gaze turned to the owner of the voice, Ryan. He walked into the crowd and approached us with Samuel who met my gaze for a nanosecond before averting them to his new bedmate, Josephine.
Jace groaned in response and glanced at me with locked jaw like I was the reason for the whole thing. But when I tried to communicate him through my eyes, he quickly looked away.
"Look what this little bitch has done." Oliver muttered and I scowled at him as he might've forgotten the hug he gave me and the day he was being nice to me.
Jace shot him a glare and he rolled his eyes in response but none of them seemed to be noticed it, as their gazes were focused on Ryan and Samuel's reaction.
"Woah, woah! I know Karma's a bitch but I never thought it would fully turn on its bitchy mode." Samuel snorted, pulling Josephine closer to him and grinned smugly at Jace while Ryan marched towards us and tore the sheet away from his locker and crumpled it into a ball before throwing it somewhere.
"Seriously Jessica? Is this the way you approach someone? Are you playing hard-to-get or something?" Ryan asked in a harsh tone and I furrowed my brows shaking my head.
"No! I didn't do this!" I raised my voice a little to prove that they were wrong and turned to look at Jace. "Jace, do you think I would do such an unkind act like this? Especially to you?" I asked and he clenched his jaw.
"To tell you the truth, I've never thought you'd do like this but that doesn't change the fact you did right?" he questioned, chuckling dryly and I let out a loud sigh.
"Jesus! How many times-"
"Okay, hold on, so are you trying to tell me that you didn't do this?" Jace asked in a dull voice pointing to the sheet and I nodded as fast as I could. He gave me a flat look before looking over his shoulder and extending his hand to someone. "Alice, gimme your phone."
Who is Alice?
"Oh yeah sure." A brunette-haired girl came forward and rummaged through her case and took her phone out and unlocked it before handing it to Jace. I've seen this girl somewhere.
"Then what is meant by this?" Jace asked, showing me the screen and I furrowed my brows at the phone when some video started to play. I felt most of the people including Samuel and Ryan too formed around me and tried to see what was he going to show through this.
A girl who had longish blonde hair, which was absolutely none other than me, was standing on the locker room and pasting the sheet very quickly on Jace's locker, glancing around surreptitiously once in a while. Yay life!
