It's raining outside, I have my brownish umbrella inside of my school bag but I'm too lazy to reach to for it. It doesn't matter though because I like the rain, it's cool and is fun sit in when you want to, as long as you don't catch a cold. I learned that the hard way once. I was absent from school for like a week. I check my watch and it's 7:53, I have at least seven minutes before class starts. When it does I have to walk down the dreaded hallway. Every time I go people stare and laugh at me, and they don't even know me. I'm just waiting for Brain, he usually opens the side door for me to walk in so I don't have to go through that. Although he is taking particularly long today. I wonder what girl he has caught under his spell this time. Last week it was Lisa Webber, the week before Amber Donaldson and one time he even sweet talked the history teacher into passing him. Brian is one heck of a smooth talker, if only he used it for good and not to fulfill his sensual passions.
Two minutes turn into six and I still don't see Brian. "Whats taking him so long?" I think. I have no choice but to walk through the main entrance. Most people would have already came to class anyways, so I assure myself that's there is nothing to fear. I look at our school statue of , Julius Robert Oppenheimer. I read his quote maybe everyday before heading into our school, Clay more Academy. It said, "The optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds. The pessimist fears it is true." It's one weird quote but this is one weird school.
I jog up the steps and walk through the doors of the school. I peek down the long hallways to see if any secretary guards are there. Being picked on a lot at this school, I talk with the secretary guards quite a lot. They are nice people, but I rather not know about how many cats they have or what their sister did to their cheating husband's car. I start to walk but then my walk turns into a sprint as a hear a noise behind me that sounds like a door being opened. I turn the corner and make my way up the stairs to the 2 floor. My locker is 2-214 which is right next to my class. I keep running just in case and I quickly turn the corner to my locker. Big mistake.
Before I could realize I had hit my head and fell flat on the floor. I thought I had hit something really hard.
"Ow!" I groaned
I realized that someone else was on the floor, a girl, she had black wavy hair and the most clear blue eyes I have ever seen. She was beautiful.
"I'm sorry, are you okay?" she said in an aching tone
"No, it's my fault, here let me help you up." I replied
I gave her my hand and pulled her up, the amount of force I used must of been too strong because she came, flying into my arms.
"I'm sorry again, I didn't mean to..." I said with a tomato face.
"It's okay, I'm Alisa, this is my first day." She said excitedly
"I'm Tristan, nice to meet you, what grade are you in?" I asked curiously
"Oh, I'm in 11th grade." she replied
"So am I, I guess we will be seeing a lot of each other then, Well I got to head to class, I'll see you later." I said
As I was heading off I heard a loud cry of my name.
I turned to see Alisa again, she said that she wanted me to show her around school later. I agreed of course, it's not like I had anything better to do.
I put my jacket and other items in my locker. My locker is not anything special, its not decorated or has music playing when you open it. It just has my school books and my outerwear, in other words, its boring. I make my way to first period English, remembering that my bag was wet. I check inside of it and luckily for me, the inside is nice and dry. Way a go to who ever made waterproofing things a thing. They have saved my life loads of time.
