Hm, not much to say....enjoy?
Chapter 14
"Hey," I whisper, smiling down at Jake who is staring up at me with those precious eyes. His only response is to nestle his head into my shoulder. It hurts my shoulder to have him resting on it but I ignore it, it's worth the pain. My eyes drift over to Rosalie, still fast asleep slumped over the plain white couch at the far side of the room. Hospital. Crash? I crashed because I was trying to find a decent damn song on the radio. "Mummy made the scars." Jakes hushed whispers drag me out of my thoughts. I turn to him, shocked by what he said. "I know," his eyes remain fixed on the long deep cut etched into his chest. "It wasn't you," he looks up at me, smiling slightly. "Of course not," I tell him, completely appalled that he thought I would do such a horrific thing. "Did you think I had done it?" I ask, he shifts uncomfortably, practically squirming. "Yes, but then I remembered mummy doing it," I scrutinise his face, searching for a clue into what he might be thinking. Nothing. Rosalie stirs and sits up, her silky chestnut hair in total disarray. Warm brown eyes flick around the room carelessly then widen in surprise when they reach me. She opens her mouth to say something but the door opens and a nurse with scraggly grey hair srolls in. "Mr Grey welcome back." she smiles as she picks the clipboard up from the end of my bed. Jake shuffles closer to me, obviously not a fan of such elderly nurses. "We just need to do a few small tests and then you're free to go."
------------
"Can't believe you crashed because you were fiddling about with a radio," Rosalie scolds. I shrug before popping another spoonful of Cheerios into Jakes mouth. "I was distracted," She narrows her eyes and I smirk back, "Worried about my safety eh?" my smirk turns into a grin when she fails to reply. I hear the front door open and a few seconds later Brody saunters into the kitchen where we are, his blonde hair sticking up in every direction and dressed in a black Metallica t shirt which shows off the barbed wire tattoo on his right arm which runs all the way from his wrist to his shoulder. "Yo," he drawls, taking a seat across the table from us beside Rosalie who is leaning against the sink looking far from impressed. Brody gives her a sly wink before turning back to me. "Not to spoil your good mood mate but why are you here?" I ask with a raised eyebrow as I continue to spoon feed Jake. Brody clutches his heart dramatically as if in pain, "How could you say that to your best buddy in the whole wide world?" he takes his hand away from his heart and grins cheekily like a little kid. "I was actually hoping you'd spoon feed me too," Jake bursts out laughing and even Rosalie fails to hide her amusement. "You know you want to," He smirks. When he realises how unamused I am he stops smirking and swallows. "I actually wanted to talk to you about something, it's kinda important." I raise an eyebrow curiously. "Okay, Rosalie will you help Jake with his cereal for me?" she nods happily and I follow Brody into the living room. He sits down on the sofa and stares at the floor with his emerald eyes. I frown slightly and move over to sit beside him. "What is it?" I ask gently, he raises his head and takes in a deep lungful of air before turning to me. "I'm gay Dex,"
