So...why did you want us to join, commander?" Dream asked as they rode to the designated place.

"I want you to hear some things...I don't wish to keep what the Survey Corps are planning from you three, you have the rights to know. I would also like Dream to speak about what it's like out there, outside of the safety of the walls. I think it's much better if they hear so from someone their age, and there is something else" Commander Erwin said as he kept his gaze straight forward.

Dream nodded and looked back to give his friends a nod, signifying that this might be the day they learn what in the world is the job of the Survey Corps and why everyone isn't too eager to join this branch of the military. The sky darkens and soon, they reached an area with a stage. The trainees...or the recruits are all standing in front of the stage, waiting for someone to take the stage and speak.

"Eren!" George whisper-shouted

"You three are here as well?" Eren whispered to the trio.

"Commander Erwin wants us to know what we signed up for. The three of us has been out there, but we personally don't know the terror everyone has to face. Leikann has already leaked the fact that me and Sapnap has killed a bunch of titans to the recruits...I believe it's to make them feel more at ease" Dream said without taking his eyes off the recruits.

"...Today, you chose the branch you want to join. And to put it bluntly, I am here to recruit those who wants to join the Survey Corps. But I should warn you...in the recent titan attack, everyone here experienced what an average mission is like. I can be sure that you've experienced nothing in your life that is as scary. Even though you've yet chosen a branch, you've experienced sacrifice. As a result, you have come to know your limits, and the terrors of the titans" Commander Erwin looks upon the recruits, "Nevertheless, it's true that we have suffered heavy losses in this attack, the human race has advanced towards victory like it has never before-

-I'm sure by now, you all know about the existence of Eren Yeager. Through his actions and your sacrifices, we have put a halt on the attack...and we have obtained a way to learn more about our enemy. I'm not at all in the liberty to tell you much about Eren...but he's proven himself to be an ally of ours, believe me. We also know that in the basement of his house in Shiganshina District, there are answers and information about the titans that even we are not aware of. If we can get into that basement, I believe we'll be able to find answers and clues to what the titans truly are and free us from the terror of the titans"

Murmurs started to rise amongst the recruits, and some were even smiling to the trio's surprise. To the three, titans are the biggest enemies that the trio have seen, but certainly not the most powerful. Those three have just survived an attack of people with extra physical ability, defeating titans shouldn't be too hard, right?

"But...if we are going to perform a full investigation on his basement, we first have to take back Wall Maria. In other words, due to the gates in Trost District being completely sealed, we will have to take the long route from Karanes District. The path that took us 4 years to make is completely gone. In those four years, about 90% of the Survey Corps have vanquished. 90% is only in those four years. In the best-case scenario, there would only be five times more casualties and 20 years of work, those numbers...aren't realistic-

-The Survey Corps are always looking for those who are capable. Since that many are killed every time we go out on an expedition, we are suffering from a personnel shortage. I won't hide it, once you join the branch, you will participate in the expedition happening a month from now. The Survey Corps have also just earned three new recruits we believe to be very much talented, doing something none of us thought possible" Commander Erwin explains. He then looked to his right and gives Dream a nod and just like that, Dream got out on stage.

This would be the second time in his life he would have to give a speech in front of people. Knowing that having his mask on while he speaks is very much awkward, Dream slides his mask to the left, leaving it to only cover his left eye. As Dream took the stage beside the commander, his green eye glows dimly under the fire light.

"Well...I am not a big fan of speaking on a stage in front of many people, but I'll do my best to...explain the condition outside of the walls, in other words, inside the inner part of Wall Maria. To be frank, the condition out there ain't pretty, not at all. I can't say much about the terror you have to face as...to be honest, titans are not scary nor a threat with the proper training" Dream looks at the commander who nodded.

"With that said...those who wish to join us, stay, but those who wish to go to another branch, you are dismissed. Do keep in mind that by joining the Survey Corps, you are ready to sacrifice for humanity"

At an instant, many people turned around and left as Dream slides his mask back on, the fire light now lighting up his mask. In about a minute, only 21 is left, standing there, hands on their backs and feet split as wide as their shoulders.

"If you were told to die...would you do it?" Commander Erwin said to the 21 left.

"I...I don't want to die!!" one shouts.

Commander Erwin closed his eyes and smiled at this answer, he then looks towards Dream who can be seen smiling from the side.

"All of you have good looks in your eyes...I hereby welcome you as the newest member of the Survey Corps!! This is my true salute! Devote your hearts!!" Commander Erwin did the all too familiar salute as the newest members followed suit.

"Yes sir!!"

"I look forward on working with all 21 of you" Dream said, joining in the salute.

Time passed and soon enough, the day of the expedition arrives. Every member of the Survey Corps is there, on horseback, ready to go. Dream and his team are put in the front lines due to their skills and capabilities.

"Well...we gotta say hello to those huge things again huh?" Sapnap sighed.

"Very funny Sapnap" Dream sarcastically said, "We've been training our asses off for the past month, let's make it count"

"Commander!! We're almost ready! We've led the titans nearby some distance away! 30 seconds until the gates open!!" one of the support team members shouted from the top of the wall.

"That this is really 50 meters huh..." George looked up.

"Yes George, it is 50 meters, for now, let's focus on this mission alright?" Dream pats George on the shoulder.
