1971-
All of their friends were married off, but Maggie and Wentworth had decided to wait a few years. Wentworth had proposed two years ago and now the day had arrived. Marilyn smiles as she gets her sister ready for her wedding.
"So, not long until the children come along, then." Marilyn says and Maggie chuckles. Marilyn has a two year old daughter.
"We haven't discussed when we plan to have children. Let's just get the wedding out of the way, first." Maggie says with a wide smile. Marilyn grins and then in walks Marlene.
"I like this dress colour." She says, twirling as she says it. Marlene was now 22 and Marilyn's 27. Maggie's 25 and happy with how her life is going." Not sure if Wanda is as keen."
"Wanda!" Maggie calls out and in walks 12 year old Wanda." Aw you look really pretty."
"Thank you. I'm not too sure if the colour suits me." She says and Maggie walks over to her, smiling.
"It suits you a lot. Sky blue is definitely your colour." Maggie says and Wanda smiles brightly." I know your mom said no, but do you want a little bit of lipstick to match us?"
"Yes please!" Wanda says and Maggie smiles whilst Marilyn does Wanda's makeup happily." I really love your dress, Maggie. Wentworth is going to fall even even even more in love!"
"Aww thank you, Wanda." Maggie says. She adores Wanda. Maggie's dress is a v-neck and flows to her feet. Her bridesmaids are all wearing long sky blue dresses.
"We better get goin'!" Elmer says, walking into the room. He stops and looks at his daughter, smiling widely. Maggie smiles back and takes her dads hand.

Wentworth stands at the altar excitedly, a wild grin on his face. Donald is his best man and is standing beside him, happy that his best friend is happy. Music begins to play and Wentworth has to contain his excitement at this actually happening. Maggie greets him with a smile and he smiles back as he holds her hands. The ceremony is long and Wentworth cries giving his vows, making Maggie laugh. It's sweet and she loves that he loves her so much. When they were first seen as a couple, people told them they wouldn't last because they were so young and barely knew one another. But here they were, seven years later, getting married and being happy.
Maggie was excited to be starting her life with Wentworth. She hoped they eventually had children who were happy and healthy. Who knew they were loved unconditionally and would have parents who were proud of them no matter what. Who knew they could go to their parents about anything.
The two kiss after exchanging rings and everyone applauds. Then they have confetti thrown over them and the photos are taken, the regular wedding stuff. After they leave the ceremony, they have the wedding brunch and Wentworth makes Maggie laugh the whole time. Soon after the brunch comes the speeches.
Maggie's dad does one with embarrassing childhood memories and then comes Wentworth's sappy speech where he cries and Maggie feels so much love for him that she could burst. He references Little Women and that's enough to make her cry. He hugs her once he sits down. Then comes Donald's best man speech, with him telling jokes about when Wentworth was a Stoner and the things he got up to whilst high. It's awkward but funny.
Then comes the moment Wentworth has been waiting for since saying 'I do'. The reception. The party. The place where he can get hammered, dance and then catch a plane to London for his honeymoon.
He dances happily with his friends and wife to All Day and All of the Night by The Kinks, California Dreamin' by The Mamas & The Papas, I Think I Love You by The Partridge Family and Pinball Wizard by the Who. Maggie is dancing and smiling happily and Wentworth goes to the bar, where Frank is stood. Wentworth could swear he saw Frank checking out Zach Denbrough.
"So, why couldn't Sonia make it?" Wentworth asks as he orders a beer. Frank sips on his aggressively." Frank, you gotta slow down on the beer man."
"Marriage is shit. Sorry to drop that on ya, Bud. Well, my marriage is shit. She's gone...weird. Stopped me from going to protests. She's homophobic. Next thing you know, she will stop me being friends with all of you. Saying I'll get sick or somethin'." Frank explains and Wentworth listens. Him and Sonia were never good together, but he seemed happy, so they didn't step in where they weren't wanted.
"Why don't you just get a divorce?" Wentworth asks and Frank shakes his head." Why not?"
"We had a pregnancy scare last month. I want kids, Went. She's the only way I'm gonna get them." Frank says and Wentworth just nods." Maybe it'll save the marriage, I don't know."
"It's worth a shot, right?" Wentworth asks and Frank smiles, nodding slightly. Wentworth pats him gently on the back and then it's time for the first dance.
Maggie smiles as Wentworth joins her on the dance floor, the two slow dancing together to Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. Wentworth sings along as he dances with his wife, smiling at her happily. He starts to cry again and Maggie grins, wiping his tears away before he pulls her into a kiss. The two kiss as they continue to dance and then Wentworth leans his head against Maggie's, the two smiling at one another as everyone else joins the dance, all of them singing along.
"I love you, Mrs Tozier." Wentworth says and he appreciates how it sounds when he says it. Maggie grins even wider.
"And I love you, Mr Tozier." She says and it's enough to make him cry again. He nuzzles his head into her shoulder and she holds him tightly, laughing whilst they dance.
