A cold wind swept through the woods, making the trees sway and picking up fallen leaves. A few snowflakes drifted on it, dancing through the sky. As they fluttered down, they landed in a petite girl's brown hair, dusting it with white. She shivered and pulled the rag she called a blanket tighter around her shoulders, trying to ward off the winter air's cold fingers. Her numb hand trembled as it flew across a small peice of paper. Her breath puffed out in clouds of white as she scrawled a message onto the paper. Satisfied, she signed her name on the bottom and stuck it into an envelope addressed to Mssrs. Malik, Tomlinson, Payne, Styles, and Horan. She licked the edge and made sure it was closed completely before standing shakily and dashing toward the battered mailbox at the end of her short driveway. She shoved it in and raised the flag, making sure it had the proper amount of postage for the long journey ahead. She kneeled quickly and sent a quick prayer to God to watch and make sure that the letter would make the long journey to London from the Blue Ridge Mountains unscathed and before the holidays.

So! Viola! My new christmas 1D ficlet! It's only gonna be a few chapters, and they will be short. Also, don't be depressed. Things get worse before they get better, but it will have a sweet ending. I swear! So yeah! Le prologue! The next chapter or two will be up tomorrow. :) Merry Christmas. Or, as I like to say to avoid any hard feelings...
