"Aubrey! Wake up, it's, like, ten minutes before we have to go and run!"

After hearing those words, I literally sprung up out of my bed.

Throwing on a pair of shorts I hadn't yet washed, I searched desperately in my bag for a sports bra I hadn't yet used. Towards the bottom, I found one that was pretty small for me and nearly suffocated me, but it had to do. I found a cutoff that I'm pretty sure I wore on Monday, and I shoved my shoes on and ran out the door. I was about halfway to the main lodge when I realized that I forgot my iPod.

Well, damn.

Ciara and I made it to the main lodge right as Ms. Rogerson walked in. We snuck into a seat next to Leah and waited for role call.

"Here," I said with a yawn when she called my name. She glanced at me for a second and then went back to the list.

"Okay, girls, let's get running!"

Standing up, I walked out the door with Ciara. When we got to the starting line, I instantly already felt fatigued. When Ms. Rogerson blew her whistle, I started a slower pace than usual, but Ciara still ran next to me, and handed me one of her iPod earbuds.

"Thank you," I mumbled, putting it in and closing my eyes, running to the beat. Man, this bra was uncomfortable. I felt like I was being suffocated. Maybe it was a bad idea to dig at the bottom of my bag.

I started wiggling around funny and tried to readjust my bra while running. I wasn't doing so well at fixing it.

"Hey, you trying to dance there?" I heard Landon say from beside me. Crap. I forgot they now come on runs with us.

"No, my bra is too tight and I'm trying to fix it." The words slipped out of my mouth before I could stop them, and as soon as I realized what I said, I slapped a hand over my mouth. He obviously was amused with my little remark. He smirked and checked me out.

"You could always take it off, you know. I wouldn't mind."

"Ew. Ew, ew, ew, ew, ew." I am not going to be able to sleep tonight. He just shrugged and kept running next to me.

"You know, you run really slow. Why is that?"

"I'd be able to run faster if someone didn't drag me to a party last night."

"Hey, you let me drag you to a party last night."

"Why are you running so slow?"

"Because I'm trying to stay at your pace."

"Why do you want to run next to me?"

"Because I'm a friendly person and you're my dance partner. I'm not as revolting as you think." I rolled my eyes.

"Totally," I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes. I listened to Ciara's music and kept on running. "This run is taking forever. Maybe I should fake an injury," I said to Ciara. She laughed and nodded.

"Maybe I should carry you, then," Landon said.

"No."

"Just offering!"

He ran faster and farther ahead and stopped next to Blair. I let out a breath I didn't know that I was holding. "Thank god he's gone."

"Oh, come on, Aubrey. How can you not have any sexual attraction towards him? I mean, take a good look and tell me what you see." She grabbed my face and turned it towards Landon. I took in his sandy brown hair that had some of it matted to his forehead, and his deep green eyes and long, thick eyelashes. He was tall and you could see his biceps working from the running. Since his cutoff was cut so low, you could see parts if his abs if you peeked. He had a strong jawline and nice lips. I have to admit, he was pretty fine. But that didn't cover up his horrible personality.
