Chapter 15

Jennifer POV

A white and goldish snout caught my attention. Staring back at a surprised Celeste, someones growl was heard close. I reliazed that it was my wolf, she took over. She leaped into the air at Celeste, ready to tear her apart. Celeste jumped to the side, just quickly enough to get out of my grasp. She shifted into her wolf, baring her teeth at me. Her claws extended, ready to attack me at once. I just now realized... I don't know how to fight! Celestes wolf jumped at me and my wolf acted quick. She ducked out of the way, letting Celeste fly over into a tree. Other growls were heard, turning behind me, Xavier and Niall came out behind the tree Celeste was knocked into. Niall helped Celeste up. I growled, while Celeste smiled evily planning to complete her plan of taking Niall.

Why should I care? He rejected me. Niall's head snapped up to me, clearly not recognizing who I was. Our eyes met. His eyes widen in surprise at who I was. He probably didn't even know who I was on the inside. Fuck him, treating me like that. I snapped my gaze to Xavier, his eyes resting on mines. Body gaurd, rang in my head. He did a horrible, yet nice job. He tilted his head trying to reconize who I was. I thought I saw a light bulb turn on once he refocused on me.

Niall advanced on me, snapping his jaws. Xavier paced infront of me, growling at Niall. His face full of counfusion. Not to mention mines also. Niall just made a move towards me, even after realizing I was his mate. My bones clicked back into human form. Just then I realized, I'm gonna be naked! To my surprise, I was still fully dressed. Looking up at the wolves faces, their eyes widen. I smile back, almost laughing at how confused Niall's face was.

Niall's POV

I heard a loud thump about a mile away. Something big. I let go of Xaviers neck, tracking down the noise. Xavier close on my tail, ready to bite it off. I ran faster, getting closer. An unfamiliar yet nice scent traveled to my nose. My wolf growled immediately. I emerged behind the tree that blocked my way, and saw an unfamiliar wolf. The red one I knew. Celeste. I knew her ever since we were kids. She shifted earlier than me. Her parents went rogue for some reason. I still respect her for her friendship. I helped her up, then stared at the unfamiliar wolf. Our eyes met and my wolf whispered, mate. What the hell, this isn't our mate! Our mate's human, not wolf! My wolf growled at me for thinking such thing. It's true, I told him.

She looked away from my gaze, and bore her's into Xaviers. He was just as confused as I was. I made a move towards the she-wolf. Xavier immediatly blocked our pathway. This is why I hate him. He growled at me. I was about to start war with this freak, when the she-wolf shifted. Oh, she's gonna be naked. She seriously doing this now? To everyones surprise, her clothes were still on. I looked at her beautiful face. Jennifer? My eyes widen, as she started to smile wildly, like she was stiffling a laugh.

We all stood there surprised at how she did the 'I still have clothes on' trick. Her smile started to fade, and I snapped out of my intense stare. Mentally clearing my throat, I walked behind a tree, jumping up to grab a pair of boxers and shirts. I tossed some to Xavier, and then my shirt to Celeste. After we changed, we all came out of our trees to see... nothing. Damn her! She left. I growled, while Celeste put a hand on my arm. "Lets go Niall." She started to drag me back onto human roads. Xavier ran ahead, and into the hospital building. I followed him, with Celeste hot on my heels.

There, sat Jennifer innocently, like she didn't just shift or un-shift in front of us. Allison, Sammy, Dylan, Xavier, Kyle, and Kyla sat or stood next to her. Her parents rushed in the room, saying things to her. The short glares in the room towards me made me leave.

Celeste Pov

I couldn't believe it. She acually shifted. It seems like I said that one million times already. Also, she still has clothes on after what it looked like she tore it off. I carefully walked towards her, making sure she doesn't scream that I was a killer or anything. She gave me a hard glare, while I pat her back. Plan failed... I even told her what I was going to do. I mentally groaned. 

Jennifer Pov

My mom and dad drove me back home, after the slight incedent of fainting. "Honey, you scared us. The doctors said your heart wasn't beating anymore, but..." my mom trailed off. "It was a miracle," she finished. "Mom, dad..." I was the one that trailed off now. "Yes, darling?" My dad comfirmed. "I just shifted in the woods... my wolf is back."
