Chapter 11

Niall's POV
As the bell rung for my last class, I immediately ran out of the room, bumping into unfamiliar bodies. I slowed down and headed towards reading class. Her scent again drifted through my nose and I stopped. A few people bowed their heads down at their Alpha.

Her fragile body leaned against a locker. She was talking to the trouble makers, Allison and Kyla. I studied her body fully wanting to take her- Well I still am her mate, she wouldn't  know what hit her. My d-

'Shut up jackarse' my wolf growled at me.

'Why'

'You can't talk to our mate like that!' He suggested.

'Correction, your mate, yours'

'We're basically the same person, I'm just less of an ass!' He growled and disappeared into the back of my mind.

Jennifer's POV
When I reached home from school, Liam pulled me into a tight embrace. "Why are you hugging me?" It's not like he does it every now and then. "Cause..." he trailed. "Cause..." I continued. "You've been putting up with all the glares you got, I was there during the announcement, them knowing that I'm a wolf and them not knowing your my sis," he smirked.

"What ya talking about?" Jim cut in the conversation. "Nothing," I mumbled and ran up to my room. I opened up my laptop and went through Facebook. I clicked on the messages and come upon Xavier's message. I clicked on it and started to read.

'Will you go out with me today?' five minutes ago.

I haven't talked to him since the warning growl Niall set off. Also because he kept doing it every now and then. I began typing,

'yea sure, when?'

'at 7, I'd never thought you'd reply though. 😅'

'well I did, now, will you pick me up?'

'yes, and I already know where you live, stalking, just kidding' he replies.

I look at the clock. 5:40. I shut my laptop down and ran to get my towel. After a nice hot shower, I put on jeans and a blouse. I grabbed my phone, money, and purse. I checked my light makeup and ran downstairs. "Where are you going honey buns!?" mum shouted. "Mom I'm just going out with my friend, dont worry I'll bring a gun if he trys anything." A horn blazed through the driveway. I stepped out and was greeted by Xavier. His smile lit up the dark sky.

"Hey, first of all how did you know where I live? A specific answer please" I asked raising an eye brow. "Well... fine, I was stalking you, but it was only because I wanted you to be safe when you arrive," he answers and we got ino his car.

Xavier's POV
The car ride was quiet, only as the light voice of a woman sing on the radio. When she aksed me that question, I couldn't hold back that secret, I was stalking her but it had to be in a good way. I wasn't good at keeping secrets.

"So I suggest you watch your back," I blurted out. Spoke to soon Xavier, too freaking soon. "What?" She demanded looking over at me. "Uh, nothing I was j-just thinking and accidentally bl-blurted a line," I stuttered. She didn't look convinced but nodded anyways. I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding in.

"So where are we going?" She asks, playing with her phone. "Somewhere special, my mom told me there was a nice restaurant down town." I tapped the wheel and turned a left.

Once we arrived, Jennifer rubbed her hands together. "Cold?" I asked her. She shook her head, "no I have enough body heat." I only chuckled at her response and we entered the warm building. Jennifer relaxed and I bent down to her ear level, "I thought you weren't cold, why did you relax just now?"

"Well I just got tired of, uh, releasing my body heat, that's all," she replied adding a nod to confirm her thought. "Come on let's go," I motioned, a small smile playing on my lips.

Jennifer's POV
This was just awkward. Xavier constantly searched the area outside leaving me awkwardly sitting there. As soon as our orders were being prepared, Xavier smiled again.

'He has a cute smile'

I jerked up, hitting my leg in the process. Where did that voice come from? Leg pain forgotten and I dramatically breathed in and out. Probably just me, his smile was cute though, the voice just mirrored my thoughts that's all. The voice was a bit weak though..... It was all raspy and-

"Are you okay Jen?" Xavier waved his hand in my face. I nodded my head and he sighed. "Did I do something?" He asked again. I shook my head and relaxed. The food was set on the table and we dug in.

We played twenty questions and laughed horrifically in the whole room. After dinner, he drove us down an unfamiliar road. "Where are we going?" He smiled brightly and spoke, "it's a secret, and it's my secret, I'm trusting you with this place." I nodded my head and opened the car door.

We got out and Xavier held my hand. We got deeper into the woods. Oh god, he is going to kill me? I held his hand tighter and he moved a branch over. We stepped in and my jaw dropped. The place was filled with colorful flowers, the snow adding an effect. Tiny animals crept in the snow and the river was flowing and... steaming?

"Uh, Xavier, why is the river steaming?" He looked over at me, "It steams because it's hot, the river changes temperatures due to the season, but it's going to freeze soon." I nod my head in amazement. "You like it?" he asked. "Yes, it's fantastic," I sighed dreamily. He chuckled then added, "don't tell a soul." I nodded again and he drove back home.
