Jennifer

I sat in my room after school. My eyes studying the room I was in. Drawers, mirror, desk, closet, bathroom, bed. Pulling out my laptop, I started to search up some answers for my math homework.

Soon I daze off. Thinking about the time I came here. We were driving here, I was listening to some music on my iPod. We unloaded our suitcases and dad fixed up all the furniture. The first time going to school here. Meeting my mate... who rejected me. A panging feeling thumped in my chest. Thinking about how he thought I couldn't understand what he was taking about. Also, when he pushed me into the lockers because he was jealous. The night he banged with someone else, making my heart ache. The rejection. Rejection. I am going to accept his rejection. Sharline whimpered but didn't deny, which if she argued, she would've lost anyway.

I sighed continuing my work. Soon I was done. I got ready for bed. A clang downstairs made my head swing towards the door. "Mom?" I called out. Noises sounded and footsteps were heard. I opened the door and head downstairs. Grunts and heavy breathing traveled to where I paused. Rushing down the stairs, I grabbed a nearby vase. I head into the kitchen. Two men stood, holding my mother. Their heads turned towards me. I raised the vase. Their eyes widen. As they turned towards each other, I threw the vase to the guy on the right of me. It hit him on the head. He knocked out, dropping mom's first half. The other guy dropped mom's other half and ran. I head towards mom's dropping body, using my wolf speed. I catched her before her head flew down on the floor. Setting her down, I ran for the escaping dude.

The back door opened. Moving fast, I head towards him. Pouncing on him, he fell face flat. I grabbed a nearby cloth and wrapped it around his neck. "You know to never attack when there is someone else in the house," I spat out at him. "Maybe we want you to know," he replied. He laughed, then in a flash, he was gone. Falling to my knees, I quickly got up. What the hell just happened?

Running back into the kitchen, mom slept there on the floor and the guy disappeared. Dad, Liam, and Jim left for there father and sons nightout, so only I witnessed half of it. I lifted mom off the floor and set her on the couch in the living room. Walking to the bathroom, I grabbed a first aid kit. I went back to mom. Pulling a cloth out, I dabbed it in some liquid medicine. I wiped it on her head, wiping the blood that the intruders made when they banged her head. I bandaged her head and wrappped the first aid kit and set it back into the bathroom closet.

*Later that night*

Dad came home 20 minutes later, probably because he felt a huge pang on his head. He bursted through the door and rushed over to mom's side. "What happened?" he asked furiously. I told him what I saw and what I did. Dad smoothed out mom's hair and kissed her forehead. Jealousy rang through my body. Running back upstairs, I took a long shower. Letting the hot water soothe me. Maybe I want you to know, kept going on and on in my head. Then I tied it with what the Moon Goddess said. No click. Turning off the water, I get out and put on my pajama's. Drying my hair, I try to figure out what the guy meant. After not figuring it out, I fell asleep.

The next day**

My alarm rang in my ears. Knocking it out, I get up and get ready for school. After slipping on my shoes, I head for my parents room. Opening the door quietly, I check up on my mom. She was still perfectly sleeping, breathing at an evenly pace.

Heading outside, I start the engine, get in and drive to school. As usual, Sammy walked me into the school. Walking beside Kyla and Xavier, Niall turned the corner. "I got to do something first, catch up with you guys?" I smiled innocently. "Sure," they replied. I walked over to Niall. "Hey, I never got to answer." He slightly turned his head in confusion. I wanted to reach out and catch his lips with mine, but no. "I, Jennifer-" His head perked up from his sad state. He was suddenly behind me, cupping my mouth. "Don't say it." I mumbled a why.

In a flash, he too, was now gone.
