Decisions are never set in stone

We had to run through the house, trying to not any of the clan see her. I couldn't let her leave yet, I couldn't bare her leaving after having a nightmare. She needed calming down. We went in the woods, to our spot, our tree. There was good memories here; we had lured guys to this very spot then we took our first drink. We sat there, I knew exactly how to calm her. She'd sit in my lap and I'd stroke her hair. Despite everything, I let her. In my arms was my sisters murderer. We said nothing and I kept running my hands through her hair. I then came to realise some parts were shorter than others I was confused until I remembered the blade. Her long ash brown hair was now a mess of different lengths.
"Enid before you go can I please fix your hair" she just looked up at me, her look indicating she didn't want me to, "it will fit better in your red hood"
"I... I lost the robe"
I laughed a little, "how'd you loose it?"
She avoided my question. It was weird that she'd ever let it go, it was dear to her.
Eventually I got her to agree to let me cut her hair and she was stood against a tree. Everytime I tryed to raise my knife she would flinch.
"I'm not going to decapitate you"
After a while of me trying to make it all even she looked down at her hair in my hands with horror.
"Why did you cut so much..."
"Hey you look better with short hair"  if I'm being honest I had waited a lifetime to see her with short hair and it's everything I thought it would be.
I handed her the knife so she could clearly see her self in the reflection. I was expecting her to be be mad but she liked it. I let myself smile and laugh in front of her, like old times. But it wasn't old times. Old times was a week ago. Happy times.
I was surprised when she said she'd rather go to the city instead of the woods. We were just about to leave when she told me something just before I was going to transform.
"Rosette I'm too weak to fly"
"You don't look it"
She took a deep breath in, "it's called pretending"
But she was never good at that. If she needed to cry she'd cry. If she needed to scream she'd scream.
Finally we were in the middle of the city and tucked away in an alleyway. I wasn't ready to let her go yet. I just needed the answer.
"Enid why"
She didn't look at me, "she was going to hurt you"
"But why? do you know?" I lifted her head with my finger so she looked into my eyes which she had been avoiding.
"Yes" I raised an eyebrow. "She wasn't just going to hurt you, she was going to kill you"
Lair.
"She wouldn't..."
"It was your father, he told her I think I heard them talking and when she came up to you that's when it all made sense"
I remember the scene a few nights ago. My back was turned. I can't remember what was doing but I suddenly saw my sister's body fall to my feet. I turned to see Enid holding a wooden stake and her hands dripping with my sisters blood. Then she flew off leaving me with my dying sister. I held her. Watching those red eyes turn a misty grey. In my arms she died. My father came in almost immediately after Enid left. That was the first time I saw my father cry. How could he have been behind all this?
"Why?"
"You can keep asking that question but I'm still not going to know"
I sighed, how was I going to find out? I could just ask my sister...
"I should go..." she tells me. I didn't want her too. As much as I still wanted her dead I wanted her with me more. She was my own sense of comfort. I still had questions but I couldn't force answers out of her.
"Stay"
"What?"
Please say yes. "I have more questions, I'll hide you, please"
"Rosette no, everyone there wants me dead, even you"
"I don't I changed my..." her hand goes straight over my mouth.
"The one person you trust is dead, I just told you your father wants you dead, wake up. Your thoughts are all over the place, I know you want me dead"
I didn't know how much she was right. I guess I didn't know what to think; I just knew I needed her. Though I really didn't know wether that meant dead or alive. "Enid please..."
"I'll make you a deal" I was listening. "Meet me right here 2 hours after after moonrise tomorrow night if you want me dead or meet me here 2 hours after moonrise two nights from now if you want more answers"
"Thank you"
After those words left my mouth I felt her lips on mine. I didn't know why she was doing it but I liked it. I returned it. It calmed me. I was forgetting about all my thoughts. Soon enough I had her against the wall, surrendering to my touch and dominance. We'd never done this before but it felt so natrual. Our lips not wanting to part and our hands teasing each other. We didn't need to pause for breath, we could stay here all night. Our body's close. Me savouring every moment I spent in control of her. We weren't even bothered by the loud noise of the city, we were somewhere else. The paradise that lured me to her. She wasn't the paradise. It was inside her.
"Freaks"
I broke away, still holding Enid by her waist. I looked back to her; we shared the same idea.
The taste was amazing; it was like a sweet desert after tasting her. It was like old times. Ripping apart his neck, being greedy. Being reckless again, forgetting. The night was young and we ran together through New York feeding until we couldn't anymore. And when we were done destroying humans I got to taste her again. Finish what we started; have what I desired. Paradise.
