Neighbors

Chapter 2

Maya's POV

"Riley I can't believe this!" I said as we walked into my room.
"I know, but Maya, he won't find out, remember Farkle is distracting him." Riley said
"I know but-" I look over to my window and see Lucas's curtains moving. Crap.
"Maya what's wrong?" Riley asked
"Look!" I said pointing to my window

She saw Lucas's curtains moving and she screamed. She moved but I think he saw her. We both ducked down hoping he didn't see us. Riley gets a phone call and I'm praying it isn't Lucas. She picks it up and gives me a worried look. It's Lucas.

*phone conversation*

L-hey riley
R-lucas hi Umm what's up?
L-oh nothing but I thought I just saw u in my neighbors apartment
R-whaaaaat? That's crazy! I mean it makes no sense! So um is that it?
L-uh yeah I guess RU and Maya still shopping
R-no,ummm we actually just got back
L-cool where RU guys?
R-oh um not Maya apartment that's for sure!
L-what? Riley RU ok? U sound kind of nervous
R- what no I'm great! Um bye!

*riley hung up- end of phone conversation*

"Riley!" I yelled
"What? I tried my best, im not that good under pressure!" She said
"What if he doesn't believe u? What if he comes over here? What if he finds out!?!" I said nervously
"Maya, it's ok, here I'll call Farkle and see if Lucas is still talking about it" riley said
"Ok" I sighed and sat back against the wall

10 minutes later...

"Uh oh" riley said hanging up her phone
"Uh oh what?" I asked
"Lucas wants to come meet the neighbors, and that's here! Lucas is coming here to meet his new neighbors! Which is u!" Riley said scared
"Riles it's ok, Farkle's gonna distract him right?" I asked
She looked down.
"Right?" I asked again
"No! He can't he said he was already on his way and-" the doorbell cut riley off.
"O My God! What r we gonna do!" I said
"Out the window" Riley's said
"Let's go" I said

And I spent the night at Riley's thinking about Lucas and how he would think of me if he knew I lived across from him.

Hello. Maya and Lucas can see into each other rooms. lol.
