2 DAYS LATER: FRIDAY

Draco had to avoid her from then on.

Enough was enough. He was finally going to take control of his feelings and he had seemed to figure it out.

He did not like her.

But every 100th time that he would think that thought, his body gave up and a new thought was pushed in.

You like her; you want more.

And every time it pushed into his mind, he agreed with it secretly to himself.

He still wouldn't admit to her beauty, though.

He wanted something more with her.. but how?

"Be persistent." Theo stared at him as he sat on his bed.

"What do you mean?" He asked Theo.

"Nothing's going to happen if you don't keep at it. If you just leave her alone she'll probably think you don't like her and that you don't really care for her."

Draco looked blankly at him. "How do I show it then?" He sighed. He was so terrible at these things. Before he even saw Y/n he was never planning to get involved with a girl.

Why couldn't he just stay by himself forever?

"Ow!" Draco exclaimed clutching his head.

"Because," Theo started pacing. "if you stay by yourself forever you'll regret it forever." He stopped in front of Draco. "Trust me."

"Don't come inside my head. I trust you and Blaise so I don't use my Occlumency." He told him.

"I do too. And you weren't talking for two minutes. At one point I thought you were dead sitting up so that was creepy."

Draco stayed silent and just looked off into space. "Just be persistent." Theo finished and sighed. "I'm going to go and hang out with Pansy. You've taken all my precious time." He told him and with that he went out the room, leaving him alone.

Draco decided to go out for fresh air.

MEANWHILE:

Across the hall, Y/n was alone out on the balcony, reading her book over the detailed stone railings. She stopped reading and just stared at the book off into space, thinking about the last time she had interacted with Draco. And then the one before that. And then all the others.

He didn't know how much knew. She rolled her eyes and then finally noticed that she dropped her book over the edge and it landed on the ground. She could always lift it up with her wand but that was too quick. She needed to occupy herself with something.

Her blue night gown turned cold as she went out bare foot, slowly skipping down the cold steps of the stairs. She reached the doors and opened it, revealing the garden. She admired it as she walked to under her balcony and then looked for her book. But she didn't see it anyway. She walked closer and looked around, in the bushes, around a pillar that supported the balcony, but it was no where to be found.

"Looking for this?" He told her as she turned around. She found him already having the book out for her and she tried to grab it but he pulled it away, and walked beside her, putting his arm around her. She sighed as she put her hands behind her, on his arm. He forced her to walk, but it wasn't rough.

"Can I have it back?" She said as she looked around the garden.

"No, I want something for it."

She tilted her head at him ever so slightly. It looked cute, so cute. "What would you like for it?" She said, playing along with his game. His arm tightened ever so slightly around her.
