Dear Y/n,
My lovely daughter. Words cannot describe how much I love you.
I wish you well. Please write back and know that you are a respectable beautiful girl, who does not need any of this. So say the word, and your mother and I will finish what that Diggory started. A battle.
I hope you can focus on yourself more and finish school, where you'll find much more respectable people outside into the Wizarding World, than with the foolish hormonal boys at your school.
I love you, and I leave you with this;
Life's greatest lessons are learned from the worst pain.
Sincerely, Baba.
Her friends on her left and right slept while she sat awake in between them, comfortably. She loved her father, he always made her feel better.
Dearest Y/n,
Let's get straight to it. I'm happy that his true colours have shown.
There was this one time in the Holidays when he stayed over, he told me he hated reading, and chicken. When he said chicken I knew that was a read flag. "Abort!" I yelled in my head.
But on a more serious note. I love you. I'm sure your father has given you some sappy or sad quote so let me give you one of my amazing quotes;
The woman who does not require validation from anyone is the most feared individual.
I love you,
Sincerely, Mama.
Her mother was always straight forward like this, but nonetheless she loved her and her personality. Y/n folded the letters and put them in her pocket for when she finally left for her Ravenclaw Common room to keep them safe.
It had only been the next day and her friends had taken her to their dorm room, sharing Daphne's bed. Y/n didn't know how to go about this really. She would just break it off with Cedric and go on with her life.
But how was it this easy?
She knew that in books when someone lost the person they loved they'd scream and beg for them back, pleading to be in their arms again. But she felt nothing of the sort.
Was that all fake?
Probably, she thought as she carefully lifted herself over Pansy and landed gracefully on the floor. It was Saturday for which she was grateful for as she grabbed a few books from Pansy and Daphne's shelf and headed out to the courtyard's soft grass, sitting down on it as she started reading.
There were just normal people around, sitting, socialising. She tried hard to just keep to herself. Y/n liked it when people were around her. She didn't like it when there was no one around her when she was doing things alone. It didn't feel right. But nonetheless, she was in a secluded area behind a tree where no one could really see her.
Something jumped off the tree and walked towards her. She braced herself to face Cedric
"I heard that Diggory cheated on you." The voice said quietly but it was loud at the same time.
She glared up at him. "It's in the papers, don't be daft." She told him as she went back to her book.
Draco was somewhat taken back at her reply and had some nervousness in his eyes, but she didn't see as she went to her book.
He took a deep breath and tried to not seem nervous. "Don't worry, you were too good for him anyway." He seemed very confident to her, like he normally is. But to him it felt like he stuttered all over the place.
