Neko hesitantly gripped the knob of the abandon building's door. The entire place looked rundown and worn out, as if it hadn't been used in a long, long time. It probably hadn't, seeing as villains were based there now. Was he really going to do this? If UA found out, he'd be expelled for sure, and then how would he become a hero? He shook his head, swallowing his nerves. It was too late to back down now, and besides, it'd only be for long enough to get that Midoriya kid out of there, and maybe find some information. He wasn't going to really be a villain, he was just being a spy. Yeah, he was being a spy, that worked.
He hastily knocked on the door, opening it up without waiting for a response. He found himself in some sort of cafe area, beat up chairs and tilty tables scattered around the place. Some of the chairs lay broken on the floor, mostly shoved to the corners. The chairs by the tables were a bit more intact, although they looked as if they'd fall apart at a single touch. Neko didn't exactly want to find out if that was true. At the other end of the room was another door, presumably leading to where Kurogiri and Shigiraki were. He aproached the door, and pulled it open, assuming that the villains had already been alerted to his presence by his inital knock.
The first thing he noticed was a sickeningly sweet smell. His nose scrunched up, as he waved his hand in front of his mask, trying to dispell the odor. Why the hell would anyone willingly make any room smell like that? It was way too sweet smelling, which just made it smell awful instead of good. Trying his best to ignore the smell, he scanned the room he stood in. It seemed like a regular old bar, although Neko had nothing to compare it too. There was a metal chair in the center of the room, which had a green haired boy strapped down in it. The boy who Neko recognized as Midoriya stared him down, looking both analytical but at the same time hostile. Neko stared back for a few moments, before continuing to look around. The only other person in the room was a man made of purple mist, who was wiping down a glass. He also noted the bottles full of purple liquid sitting on the counter, presumably the source of the smell.
The mist man looked up from cleaning the glass, and his glowing yellow eyes squinted in what looked to be a smile. "Hello, I am Kurogiri. I presume you are Neko?" the mist man, now dubbed Kurogiri said. Neko nodded, "Yup, that's me. Uh, question, where's Shigiraki? Isn't he supposed to be here too?" Kurogiri made a movement that looked like it was supposed to be nodded, "Yes, he is playing video games in his room. I would go tell him you've arived, but he gets very upset when someone interupts his games."
Neko nodded, walking up to the counter. When he got closer, he noticed a star shaped pin sitting next to the two bottles. He ignored it, reaching for one of the bottles, when Midoriya hissed, "Don't touch my pin!!", causing him to jump a bit from surprise. "I wasn't gonna, jeez..." Neko mumbled, picking up one of the bottles and swishing the liquid around. It was definitely the source of that overly sweet smell... "What is this stuff? Smells horrible." He said, noting the way Midoriya watched the bottle like how a cat would watch a mouse. He seemed almost entranced by the stuff. Weird.
"Ah. That is the potion that Midoriya here will get once he joins us." Kurogiri stated. So they're trying to bribe him, huh? "What's it do?" Neko asked, partially out of curiousity, and partially out of distrust of the potion. Kurogiri waved his hand(?) and said, "It simply strengthens the magic of whoever drinks it. It's useless to non-magic users like you and I." He hummed in consideration, putting the potion back down. Not too much to worry about then, as long as Kurogiri was telling him the truth. He'd have no reason to lie to Neko, probably. Unless they knew he wasn't really on their side, but how would they know that?
"I'm not gonna join you..." Midoriya mumbled, although his voice sounded rather weak, like he didn't believe what he was saying himself. His eyes were diverted to the ground, as if avoiding looking at either of them. Or maybe he was avioding looking at the potions? Neko felt himself sadden at that. He must be trying to resist temptation from it, then. It was good that he was resisting, but.... the guilt from it must be eating him alive. Neko had to resist the urge to go up and hug the poor guy. He definitely needed a hug, but that kind of thing would probably be a bit uncomfortable for him. Especially when they didn't even know each other.
