Third Person's POV
Jaeyun sat quietly on his seat, eyeing Sunghoon beside him. The man looks really gloomy today.
"Sunghoon-ah."
Sunghoon immediately darted his attention to Jaeyun.
"Yep?"
Of course Jaeyun was surprised. He didn't expect the man to answer that fast. He seems to be lost in his thoughts but he's attentive.
"I overheard the students today. They said something's about to start this week? What was it?"
'That's his longest sentence ever spoken to me'
Sunghoon thought before answering him.
"Right. Today's the start of the Arts Festival. The preparation's going to start today. And it will happen on Saturday."
Jaeyun stared at him.
"So how does it work?"
'Wait. He's actually talking to me right now?'
Sunghoon stared back at Jaeyun, thinking how are they talking so calm with each other right now. Very different from the who-are-you vibes from last week.
"Well. We have these so-called clubs. Basically it's going to be your place in the whole week. We have the "One Take" for dramas, "Capture" for photography, "Others" if you want to participate with many clubs, and many others. But those three are the most main anyway."
Sunghoon stares at him intently. The man beside him thinks.
"Where did you join?"
Jaeyun asks him.
"Oh. I want to go with "Capture" actually. But I'm performing for the opening so I can't."
Jaeyun raised an eyebrow.
"Is it the ice skating Jay had mentioned to me?"
"Yes. Wait. Jay? Jay talked to you?"
Sunghoon asked him. Immediately casting a glance to the other row at the back.
Jay and Heeseung immediately became aware of Sunghoon's stare.
"Look. He's looking here."
"Maybe because Jaeyun already told him."
Heeseung shrugged him off. Jay stared at Sunghoon as the man went back on talking to Jaeyun. Jay sighed. Heeseung stole him a glance.
Sunghoon stared at the man beside him.
"Jay told you about me ice skating?"
Jaeyun nodded at him.
"Oh. I never thought you guys are close. Anyway. Which club are you entering?"
Sunghoon gave his full attention to Jaeyun. Whole body facing the man as he fixed his glasses before answering.
"I think I'll go with "Capture". I love to take pictures."
"That's a nice choice."
Sunghoon spoke nodding at him.
"You're the same club as Ni-Ki then."
Jaeyun looked at him.
"Who's Ni-Ki?"
"Ah. He's a younger friend of ours. I can introduce you to them later at lunch. That is if you want to meet them?"
Sunghoon spoke. Silently wishing for Jaeyun to say yes.
"I'll think of it."
"Where do you even eat lunch? I don't see you in the canteen?"
He gathered his courage to speak.
"Oh. I eat outside. But not in the canteen."
"Why?"
"I just don't feel like eating there."
'He's distancing himself.'
"Then. Where do you go eat?"
"I eat at the field. It's quiet there. I have my spot."
Sunghoon think.
"So that's why you found me there a while ago?"
Jaeyun nodded.
"I actually walk there every morning. I missed going to the field so......"
Sunghoon waited for him to finish talking. But Jaeyun stared outside.
'He don't want to talk about it.'
Disappointed, Sunghoon just kept quiet. Not wanting to speak something.
-Somebody stop Sunghoon haha.
