her owner gave her, her name. As her owner watched her grow they noticed the way she matured in her movements and her thinking. They noticed her intelligence but all the same they knew her strength. Despite being a beauty of a dog she could be and was dangerous when it came down to protecting her home and her livelihood. That was why they named her "Mercy" instead of pup , which she had been called for months. Because if you wronged this female, you would find yourself at her mercy.

Mercy can have multiple meanings depending on where you decide to look. But, the biblical version, which is the version her owner seemed to be drawn towards, means "forgiveness." The origin behind her name, can be found in the space above .

Mercy loves her name, always has and always will. There's something about hearing it fall off her owners tongue that gives her this sense of pride and meaningfulness.

Snatcher is the name she gained not only when she was at one time, stealing livestock, but also from the way she snatches throats of animals she is hunting down. As for Asshole, her owner calls her that mainly out of frustration with something she's done.
