Few Weeks Later

Few weeks has passed already in August on a Thursday
Work has been running smoothly, Jenna has been hanging out with Ross and also sleeping over couple days out of the week, our weekends are together bullshitting having wine, haven't been to the bars in awhile which is fine I'm saving up money to get a car and a new place to live, oh yeah Ross had his birthday he is now 27 him and Jenna wanted there alone time which is totally fine by me I totally can see those two futures they are glued together,
Carter on the other hand has been very busy with work he left to go to Chicago to take care of business without me I would go to work for few hours Monday through Friday not the whole 8hrs probably 3-5hrs all depends, I really miss him there is times I won't hear from him I try not to let it bother me.
Rolling over looking at my phone its 730am no messages (nothing) setting it back down on the stand, slightly moved over stretching out my body

1 hour later---after eating, having my coffee, took the longest shower ever, went to my room put on a knee high black skirt, white blouse with a black vest, out my high heels on, today I let my hair down, did light makeup with my black eye shadow makes my light grey eyes pop even more
Grabbed the phone off the sink that was playing my favorite song by In This Momen, turning it off checked myself one more time
"Hey Lady where you at? " Jenna yells out
I walked down the hallway meeting Jenna in the kitchen filling up her coffee mug
"Why are you here" I asked her
"Umm I live here" She giggles
"You know what I mean Jen"
"Well I wanted coffee, pick you up for work I thought we could ride together, plus I miss you my bestie bitch" She pinches my cheek making push her hand away then rubbing my cheek
"Ok ok, I'm ready let's go"
"Have you heard from Carter? "
"No I haven't I hope everything is fine, not even a text, call, email, just plain nothing"
"Well he is a very busy man"
"Yeah I know"

Carter's POV in Chicago:
Sitting here for the past couple of days is driving me insane listening to these pricks when I already know about everything in the warehouse for us
"We need to ship these out tomorrow for Russia" One man spoke, I nodded
"How many are there" I asked
"1,200” he said
" Make sure they pay by midnight " I got up from my seat took my phone out went into pictures finding the one I really liked once I found it it was Adrianna sleeping on her side naked even though the black bedsheet covered up everything with her one arm over it, I couldn't hold my smile back, fuck I miss her.

Adrianna POV:
Few hours passed Jenna and I went to have lunch across the street looking at the time it's already 2pm, grabbing few sheets that I need to make copies of, walking to the room
"Thank god Lisa isn't here"
Standing there for few minutes waiting for these to be done with drumming my fingers on the sides of the machine
"Hello Ms. Rose if I remember correctly" I turned so fast meeting the eyes of Thomas (he was in the meeting that one day along with 2 others, he grabbed my arm)
"Good afternoon" I turned around grabbing my papers
"Where is your boss"
"Not here, I can take a message"
"Even better, I can't stop thinking about you Ms. Rose always got my cock hard" He purrs right behind my ear, my nerves are shaking I don't know what to think I just want to leave this room, but he stronger then me
"I need to finish my job sir"
"Love it when you say that, I wanna bend you right here and now to show you who's boss when he isn't around"
He moved out of the way, I turned around keeping my eyes glued the ground I feel him looking at me with desire, I took few first steps until he grabbed my arm harshly
"See you around" He let's go, I walked faster to get out of that room, getting to my desk I threw the papers into the file cabinet, grabbing my things
"Hey girl where are you going? " Jenna comes to my desk
"Home"
"Everything alright? " I'm shaking my head throwing my purse over my shoulder, glanced at Jenna then back to Ross where Thomas is there standing talking with him, Ross glanced at me I turned back to Jenna shaking my head, then looking at Ross now even Thomas is looking at me rubbing his chin with a evil ass smirk, Ross looks at him sideways quick
I walked fast paced to the elevators
"What happen? " Jenna sounds worried
Door opens I stepped inside
"That Thomas guy, I'll tell you later"
Jenna slowly nods with a sad face.
I'm telling myself I won't work tomorrow I can't handle being in the same room as him, I want to call Carter to tell him then again I don't want to bother him.
looking up seeing my own reflection, why does bad people like to be around me first my father, Mark my ex he never hit me he would call me names, now this guy Thomas is making me feel very uneasy

4 HOURS LATER
Jenna slams the door open made me drop my phone onto the kitchen floor
"You scared me Jen"
"Spill it out what the fuck happened back there?" She goes to grab a beer and also hands me one
20 minutes later- are telling her every detail
"I'm gonna see if Ross can have you work next to me"
"No don't worry about it" Shaking my head
"I've heard stories about him, he uses women, beats them as it's like some freaky kinky fantasy of his, no respect" She yells out
"And you don't think that I know all of this, maybe not all but I did get bad vibes about him Jenna, I just wish Carter was here"
"Did you call him? Message? "
"No I didn't want to bother him Jenna, nothing happen anyways he only grabbed my arm and let go"
"Ok well once he is back in town, promise to tell him Adrianna"
"I promise" Threw both arms up in the air, grab my drink headed out in front to sit down, sitting on the swing watching night falls comes closer

Took my phone out of my pocket, it's Carter finally, smiling to myself
Hey moon eyes been very busy, miss you a lot can't stop thinking about you, I should be heading back tomorrow morning.
