Annabeth's POV

"Seriously. Can she hurry up? My ass already has frostbite" Percy complained, shivering.

(A.N I am so sorry. This is going to be a very bad description of snow. I have never seen snow in my life so I have had to talk to some mates that have seen snow before.)

We were waiting for our portkey back to Hogsmeade station and Percy does not like the feeling of the incontrollable spinning sensation that comes hand in hand with the experience. So he was doing whatever he does in annoying situations... He complains cause he's got nothing better to do. It really doesn't help that we were sitting in the middle of a snowstorm too.

We were waiting outside of the camp borders waiting for Hecate to deliver another portkey. I sat there pondering. I don't even know what the cold is like in the UK but I know its worst than here and this was just bullshit.

Percy and I were huddled together wishing we could have more appropriate clothes for this type of snowstorm.

"Have you planned for your next lesson?" I asked Percy already knowing what his answer.

"Nope. I planned for the year but not my exact lesson. But we have another week before the majority of the students returned. We are going back for new years," Percy says suppressing a grin though still shivering.

"We can also use this time to find out who the demigod is," Percy continues.

I nodded and replies, "I have a feeling that we will find out very soon."

"I feel the same way," Percy replies as a blinding light appears through the falling snow.

"Lady Hecate," I say, with Percy just nodding beside me.

"I am pleased with the progress the both of you have made during your quest. The fates have whispered to me that the reveal will occur sometime before the student body returns. The portkey is here and I wish you the best," she said clearly very rushed as she pushed an old smelly boot into Percy and I's hand.

"Now wait a min-" Percy started as the spinning sensation began and we both found ourself in a considerably colder environment, soaking wet on the ground.

Percy groaned and got up as I pushed myself off the ground.

"Well, don't want to do that again. Let's go to the castle," Percy says as he reached out towards my hand to hold it. I grasped firmly to his.

We walked in comfortable silence.

"Are you ok?" Percy asked me. I didn't want to admit it, but I'm kinda glad to be back at the castle.

The reason was that Leo made a fiery reappearance after everyone thought he was dead. Not to mention a mortal Apollo and a highly pregnant Sally Jackson.

Christmas had been crazy. Especially after Percy exploded when he noticed who Leo had with him. It took Cabin 9 a day to fix up all the plumbing.

Calypso and I had agreed upon a truce and started to form a friendship but Percy would need more time.

"Yeah, I'm good. What about you?" I asked Percy.

"I'm glad we are back. Weirdly this place has become like another home to me. This place is truly magical," Percy says giving me his usual goofy smirk that I have come to love.

"I tota-" My words were drowned by a loud high pitched scream which was then followed by the growl too loud to be a normal animal.

This was it.

The demigod might just be found.

If the situation weren't so serious, I knew Percy would joke saying it was Malfoy's high pitched scream after a training exercise that involved a rouge pegasus (Blackjack of course), a medium level obstacle course, a jump scare and one scared Malfoy.

I drew my new dagger out of its sleeve on my calf which was shielded in the snow.

I saw Percy pulled out Riptide and uncap it.

We sprinted towards the sound, located near the Shrieking Shack.

Through the snow, we could make out 2 shadows, one of a small human being and a Mrs O'Leary sized beast with multiple heads.

We continued forward to make out the figure shooting spells towards the beast which clearly were ineffective. Though I had to admire their fiery confidence, especially during a scary and uncertain situation.

We got closer to see the demigod we have spent half a year looking for.

I felt my stomach drop. They were someone on the list but I really hoped it wasn't them. No one wants the life of a demigod.

Now Percy and I must help them discover this totally different world.

They turned around, fear and uncertainty displayed upon their face.

The demigod is...

Who do you think the Demigod is?

Leave it in the comments below.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I have planned out the remaining chapters in this story. I am happy to say that this story isn't about to close. We still have 14 chapters left (which will hopefully be completed by the end of the year 🤞)

Also, I am not really happy with this chapter so I might rewrite it at a later date.

I should have the next update done by the end of NEXT week.
