Percy POV

I had received my time table when I had arrived but I never really planned anything.

So in other words, I am screwed. Classes started in less than 2 hours.

Luckily, I woke up early.

I pushed up out of bed from next to Annabeth and got out one of my notebooks, to where my timetable is.

I studied my timetable and it said:

MONDAY

8:30-10: 7th Years

10-11:30: 3rd Years

11:30-1: 5th Years

1-2: Lunch

2-3:30: Break

3:30-5: 1st Years

5-6: Dinner

Oh Well, it's just going to be a long day.

I think I am going to start with defensive fighting without any weapons for around 10 weeks. Then move on to weaponry. Just before the Christmas Holidays; Magical fighting (To cover OWLS and NEWTS) and continue that after breakfast. Then at the end of the year, each year will work on different skills for different situations, using strategic thinking, physical combat (with and without weaponry) and magic.

I spent around an hour coming up with what I am going to do for today and tomorrow. All I could think was, Jeez, being a teacher sucks so far. Good hosts tho.

I saw Annabeth start to stir from beside me. I looked to see that the time was 7. Breakfast starts now. I got up out of bed and got changed.

Our room was connected to a combined office in which both Annabeth and I use. Annabeth's classroom is Classroom 7 and mine is the Defence classroom (Just a 5-minute walk down the corridor). I had set up my classroom with various weapons on a rack at the back of the room. Otherwise, I have done nothing else to it. I know Annabeth has decorated her Classroom with various pictures of mythological creates and stories around the room.

"Morning, Seaweed Brain," Annabeth said walking into the office, still in her pyjamas.

"What happens if a student was talking to me," I said, chucking my robe onto the desk. They were really hot and annoying, I will wear them when around other adults.

"Your right, I'm going to change, then we can go an have breakfast," Wise Girl said walking back to our room.

I waited 5 minutes looking around the office. I have claimed to the couch so Annabeth has the desk as there is only one desk.

We were trying to learn some spells last night. I am pretty decent at Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts. Annabeth has theorised that I would be good at potions but I haven't tried it yet.
Annabeth loves History of Magic, Charms and Transfiguration.
It's kinda funny that both our personalities would match the subject areas we are best at.
I just sucked at everything except a few things, that's me.

I was thinking to myself as Annabeth walked out fully ready to go for breakfast.

"Let's go Seaweed Brain," She said as she pulled me towards the Great Hall.

This school does wonders for our ADHD.

After getting lost twice we finally found our way to the Great Hall. After a quick 20 minutes breakfast (which I was salty about because I forgot to pack blue food dye and they didn't have blue pancakes 😒).

I then walked with Annabeth to her classroom but as we got there (which some students were already waiting, siriusly) the bell rang so I ended up doing something between a jog and a sprint to my classroom.

I got there 2 minutes late and everyone was waiting for me.

I ran to the classroom, tripping over my robes as I got to the door. It must've looked funny as some students suppressed giggles.

"Stupid robes," I muttered to myself but it must not have been as quiet as I thought as the people closest to me started laughing.

"Everyone just go inside and sit down," I tell them.

They (the 7th years) pushed into the classroom and I made my way to the front desk and chucked my robes to the side, not caring where they ended up.

I crossed my legs on the desk.

"So..." I began. Man, this was scary.

"Welcome to DADA for this year, I hope everyone is doing well," I look out into the class.

"Look I am going, to be honest with you, I have never taught in my life and you guys are scaring the shit out of me so can we drop the weird looks," I say again.

They relaxed slightly, but hey it was an improvement.

"So why don't we start the class off with some questions? You can ask me something and I will try and learn your names. Does that make sense?"

Some nodded.

"Fire away," I say

A girl with bushy hair instantly raised her hand.

"Yes um..."

"Hermione Granger sir,"

"Well Hermione, what is the question you want answering and there is no need to call me sir," I asked.

"Why have you decided to teach at Hogwarts especially after the war," She said.

"Well can you give answers to why not. I have decided to come to Hogwarts as a request in McGonagall and I can relate to everyone here cause I have been apart of not just one but two wars. Another reason is that I was dragged here by Professor Chase, and if you aren't the sharpest tool in the shed, I am dating her so I don't want any questions about that," A lot of hands went down.

"Any more questions?" I say.

"What's your blood status?" A pale blond haired prick- oops I told myself that I wouldn't judge, gods dang it.

"Name," I asked with a slight change in tone

"Draco Malfoy sir," He said as though he was in charge. Nice bloke, he seems like Octavian. Except for those piercing grey eyes... Shit.

I walked up to him then I realised I have made a mistake, his eyes were just a really pale blue, just like his hair.

"I am a half-blood but what does this have anything to do with defence," I asked questionably. He didn't say anything so I sat back on top of my desk.

"Any more questions?" I asked.

I answered questions for another 10 minutes until a red-haired boy by the name of Ron asked me what we are studying.

I knew that they wouldn't like this.
